@Hapsmo You got it right and it gets worse. This is on top of the gas taxes, the car taxes, and the registration fees they already charge you. Every mile you drive they want another cut. Sacramento Democrats will not stop until every transaction in your life has a tax attached to it.

BREAKING: CA Democrats just killed my bill that would ban the imposition of a new MILEAGE TAX on drivers! WATCH as these money-grabbing politicians defend charging YOU 6-cents per mile - or $900 per year on top of gas/car taxes!

@truckman25 @TomSteyer Yup, he could give more anytime he wants. He hasn't. Why? Because he just wants to say what people want to hear to get votes. If he truly believed what hes saying he would be doing ot already.

@Hapsmo @TomSteyer I mean isn’t that what he’s doing? Advocating on higher taxes on his class?

@GovPressOffice Nothing is free. We pay for it. Since when does the government make money to pay for this? More money for you to give to vendors that will eat 80% of the money. Its all bs

@MarioNawfal Iran doesn't own the straight. If they try to further block it, the world should take the appropriate action to reinforce that fact.

$200 oil will plunge the world into a global recession. Iran just threatened to cut off the Strait of Hormuz completely, and Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, and Macquarie all say it's now a real possibility. Here's what that does to your life: Gas hits $7 a gallon in the U.S., shattering every record. But that's just the start. Oil powers the tractors, the fertilizers, the trucks that move your food from field to shelf. A third of the world's fertilizer trade passes through Hormuz and it's already been cut off. Urea prices are up 50%. U.S. fertilizer supply dropped to 75% of normal levels right at planting season. Less fertilizer means less corn. Higher prices for everything the American food system touches. At $200 oil, this stops being a Middle East problem and becomes everyone's problem. Source: BusinessBasicsYT

🇮🇷 50 days of war, $50 billion in oil lost, 500 million barrels that never made it to market. That's enough to fuel the entire world's shipping industry for 4 months, or cover nearly a month of U.S. oil demand. Gas is sitting at $4.04 a gallon on average in the U.S. right now, up 37% since the war began. Energy experts say even a ceasefire won't bring prices back for months. The IEA is calling this "the largest energy crisis we have ever faced." Source: AP News

🇺🇸 Nearly 40% of Americans have less than $500 in savings. 14% have nothing at all, and about 45% couldn’t cover more than one month of expenses if their income stopped. Two-thirds have already dipped into savings just to pay for essentials like food. At the same time, the dollar has been weakening, hitting its lowest level since the Iran conflict began. For millions, the financial cushion is already gone. Source: The Street

🇺🇸 Small businesses in the U.S. are acting like a crisis is already here. Only 16% plan to invest in the next 6 months, the lowest since 2009, down 12 points in just a few months. Before 2008 and during 2020, this figure was around 30-35%. High energy costs, policy uncertainty, taxes, labor issues, and inflation are all hitting at once. Main Street is pulling back hard.
