What right does the US Govt have to ban its citizens from visiting certain countries or dictating to them that various hotels, stores, malls, etc. are criminally banned? And what's the justification for investigating Hasan and Medea Benjamin but not Nick Shirley's Cuba trip?
Fox News@FoxNews

Federal officials have served subpoenas to Marxist political influencer Hasan Piker and CodePink cofounder Susan Medea Benjamin as part of a wider investigation into whether U.S. organizations and leaders violated U.S. laws and sanctions in supporting Cuba's communist regime, Fox News Digital has learned. foxnews.com/politics/feds-…

The citizens are willing but the government is not capable. California spends enough money to have made a dent, at minimum, and they haven't. Its nothing more then a money grab for NGO's like many things these days. Its like donating to a charity where less then 10% of your money goes where it should. If they fix the problem theres no more money stream. It couldnt be more obvious they dont want to fix it.

@Hapsmo @cwebbonline Or maybe we are actually willing and capable of helping the needy, as Jesus would have wanted, I’ve lived in Los Angeles my whole life and can tell you it’s actually an awesome place just not for snobby people

So let’s get something straight about the unhoused: California is expected to carry a massive share of America’s homelessness crisis, then gets mocked for struggling under the weight of a problem that clearly extends far beyond Los Angeles. 📌 According to this report, only 36% of L.A.’s street homeless population is originally from the City of Los Angeles itself. Another 38% came from other states. Meanwhile, politicians across the country slash housing, healthcare, and mental health funding, then point at California and scream “failed blue city.” This is not just an LA problem. It’s a national crisis.

@USSMogger @CryptoMikli Maybe your wages. Food is more expensive but your retarded thinking of paying people more at that hourly rate suggests lower earners, who shop for lower value items. They would be hurt the worse. When employers have to pay more they charge more. Again your not getting it.

This Fox News live shot accidentally proved the point. The Chevron behind him is charging 50 CENTS MORE per gallon than the station across the street. Chevron is profiting off of Trump’s Iran war — and is ripping you off!

🚨 JUST NOW: California Gov. Gavin Newsom just went FULL DERANGED, "going to war" on the state's LARGEST gasoline provider Chevron due to high prices... ...yet he is PURPOSEFULLY inflating their prices with taxes and restrictions on energy 🤯 "Be sure to avoid Chevron." CLOWN.

Fuck man. When I was growing up I was given cheese sandwiches, sometimes peanut butter and honey. My grandmother got the cheese free from some food bank or something. I didnt know we were poor or that other people ate any different. I still eat cheese sandwiches and peanut butter on toast with honey. Im a tool.

@IamR0galD0rn @bigsmallones You need 2,000~2,500 calories a day. It's not one sandwich a day. It's three, if you make it really dense. So weekly, that's 21 sandwiches. Two hundred USD on fucking sandwiches. That's how much my groceries cost weekly anyway, and I don't have to live entirely off sandwiches.

Bread alone, just one loaf of the cheapest, most disgusting kind, costs 99 cents. Cold cuts cost another five to six dollars. Then sliced cheese for another two dollars at least. Then condiments like mustard and mayo, another 99 cents and five dollars respectfully, buying lettuce or tomatoes or pickles, and everything else you want to buy to make a dense sandwich. You have to spend well over twenty bucks just to make sandwiches at home, and while it's true that you get more for your money this way, it isn't fucking 99 cents anymore. Ignoring all of this, everyone who says this is rich and eats out at restaurants with three Michelin stars every fucking week. Then they have the nerve to tell you not to eat at your favorite burger joint once a month.
dank@cptdankkk

Kevin O'Leary says most people waste $15,000 a year on stupid stuff like $5 coffees "Stop buying coffee for five dollars and fifty cents" "You go to work and you spend $15 bucks on a sandwich, what are you an idiot. It costs you 99 cents to make a sandwich at home and bring it with you" "Bring your own water, your own drink or your own coffee mug. You start to add that up every day it's a ton of money" "Most people starting on their job making their first $60,000 piss away about $15,000 a year"

Healthy, high-quality food without poison should be easily available and cheap. But I guess we have to live worse than most of the world to satisfy the boomers obsession with pretending to be coal miners who lived in squalor their whole lives just to save for a house.
🌘ʀᴇᴠᴇɴᴀɴᴛ⚡@revenant_MMXX

If it's the shitty bottom rung "up to 15% flavor solution" turkey then, yes, yes it is. And if people bought the real turkey from the deli counter that costs $15/lb now, you'd just say they're overspending. That turkey was $7/lb before Boomers ruined everything with COVID policy.

@AngryFeralKitty @CarolinaLion2 Shipping costs, production costs, wages, benefits, and market pricing. Easy fix. Dont eat where you think you are being gouged. There are places you can still eat relatively cheap. Near me its In-N-Out.

Yeah, I used to get $0.99 Whoppers from Burger King all the time in high school and college prior to 2008. Now I got a bunch of mendacious cultists trying to convince me that didn't happen.
Rich 🐺@heywildrich

in 2007 Arby's had a "5 for $5" deal, you could pick five items between a drink, fries, cherry turnover, roast beef sandwich, milkshake, etc. me and a buddy would go there and get this, each got a sandwich, drink, we split a fry. under $3 each for lunch. USA used to be great.

Boomers seem to forget that fast food used to be a normal, everyday expense for them because it was affordable. You could get a burger easily on minimum wage, it wasn’t some fancy treat you had once a year as a reward for pulling yourself up by your bootstraps.
