@Daniel_Rubino Because it's Apple it will of course be hailed as groundbreaking innovation. MS really missed out not launching the SD3. However Samsung are about to launch the Fold 8 Wide which is pretty much what the SD3 would have been and the hard/software and MS integration will be great

@brooksrunning @stoxenergy milestone 20% off Stox is great until nearly 10% added back on at checkout as the discount wipes free postage. You really should have worked this out and included free shipping... Still good and still ordered, just clutched defeat from jaws of victory

@surface @codebreak_er If you buy a Mac and then, like most people, spend most time using Microsoft apps.... I just don't see the logic in not buying a device made by Microsoft, designed and tuned to maximise the performance of their apps. Each to their own of course

@zacbowden I would wait to see what the Samsung fold 8 wide is like if you're after that form factor (basically the Duo 3 we never got) If you want the best overall spec'd folding phone, the Honor Magic V6 is a level above both these (software experience is what marginally let's it down)

@Daniel_Rubino Trying to cut through all that to drive your business creates quite an overhead ... But needs must

LinkedIn is, without a doubt, the cringiest place on the internet. The amount of corporate weirdness, AI slop, and clearly delusional corpo-robots on it is frightening, but not surprising. Facebook, Insta, LinkedIn, all start from good ideas and then metastasize into capitalist dystopian abominations.

@SupremeLeaderAK It's the perfect little power house for the mobile worker.. full copilot on board, super fast processor, loads of memory, docks at home to the big screen etc but light and portable when working away with a slightly sturdier keyboard and the pen secure on the back Perfect 👍

In April 1985, high above the Irish Sea, photographer Adrian Meredith captured what has since become one of the most legendary images in aviation history. From the back seat of a Royal Air Force Panavia Tornado, Meredith photographed the *Concorde* at an altitude of around 50,000 feet, racing across the sky at Mach 2. The opportunity was fleeting—the Tornado, powerful as it was, could only stay alongside the supersonic airliner for a few minutes before falling behind. Within this narrow window of less than four minutes, Meredith managed to frame and capture an image that revealed Concorde in its full glory. The photograph itself is striking, not only because it shows the sleek, delta-winged jet in motion, but because it places it in a context rarely seen— the curvature of the Earth visible in the background, a view usually reserved for astronauts. The clarity of the shot conveys both the elegance of Concorde’s design and the immense challenge of supersonic flight. It was not merely a picture of a plane, but of a technological marvel at its absolute peak, suspended in an almost otherworldly setting where art and engineering seemed to merge seamlessly. Nearly two decades later, when Concorde was retired in 2003, the image took on even greater meaning. It now stands as a symbol of a bygone age, when commercial aviation dared to dream beyond the limits of speed and altitude. Meredith’s photograph preserves that dream, a frozen moment in time when the future seemed to arrive early, soaring faster than the speed of sound above the clouds. It remains both a celebration of human ingenuity and a nostalgic reminder of an era that has yet to return. © Aviation Historia #archaeohistories

It's the current-gen Snapdragon X/Plus, which is much more potent (multi-core) than the 11-inch iPad with the Apple A16 Bionic chip. It's not close to the M4 in the iPad Pro, but it's competitive with the new iPad Air M3, which has slower single-core and much better multi-core performance.

@zacbowden A full powered co pilot+ machine at this size will be great for those who want ultra portable with grunt (just dock for the full big screen experience). This was always where the surface go compromised, struggled with Teams and anything else running at the same time.. I'm in 👍

It's almost here! The smaller Surface Pro has appeared in a Chinese certification database ahead of announcement, which I'm hearing is likely to take place in the next month or so. windowscentral.com/hardware/surfa…

@zacbowden And with a digitally split screen when unfolded (and stylus input support) you would basically have your Duo 3 .. happy days 🙏

@UKHonor Just got my Magic v3, very very impressive. Unfortunately it appears that the stylus doesn't work with Microsoft OneNote which is a show stopper, send it back issue for me, unless you can offer a solution please? #HONORMagicV3 #onenote #microsoft
