USA. A coffee house. The password to the kingdom was written on the wall in chalk. WiFi. Free. The password is "welcome." I stood before the chalkboard for some time. In my land, a gate password is whispered. Father to son. In the hour before death. Here, it sits above the cream and sugar, in the same handwriting that announces today's pastry. I asked the barista to confirm. "This 'welcome'… it is the true word?" "Yeah. Lowercase. No exclamation mark." Lowercase. No exclamation mark. They have considered the typography of their secret, and chosen humility. I typed it. Slowly. With both hands. Connected. The signal arrived without ceremony, without challenge, without even the small bow a gate ought to receive. I was inside. The kingdom had opened to a word that means hello. I sat with this. My espresso went cold beside me, untouched, because a man does not drink while he is processing a revelation. A country whose secret word is "welcome" has already won me. In my land, the password keeps people out. Here, the password tells you what the country thinks of you before you have ordered anything. They do not know me. They have decided I am welcome anyway. I rose to leave. The barista smiled. "Come back, we'll be here." We'll be here. A second password. A standing one. Tomorrow the chalk may say "coffee." Or "thanks." Or "12345." Whatever word they choose, it will mean the same thing. There is no password too simple. There is no chalkboard too plain. The barista turned away. I stood. I took the chalk from beside the welcome and wrote one word beneath it. nobunaga. Lowercase. No exclamation mark. For eight hundred years my name kept people out. Tonight it lets them in. If they will be here, so will I.

nvidia vs amd two boxes on my desk, both 128gb of unified memory. one is the nvidia dgx spark ($4,699). the other is the amd strix halo ($1,999), amd at roughly half the price. i'm running the exact same models on both, from a 3b all the way up to a 397b, same quants, same llama.cpp, and i'm posting every single number. here is why it actually matters. if the amd box just keeps pace, that's a nice story. but if it matches or beats a box that costs twice as much, the entire calculus for buying local ai hardware changes overnight. i already have the first numbers and they made me sit up. holding them for the full breakdown. stay tuned anon. this matchup is going to shake some ground.

@sudoingX The DGX Spark is absurdly priced for 128GB. You're paying a massive premium just for the brand name.

Pretty sure the US and China are spending billions to replace ASML and Zeiss as soon as possible. When that happens, Europe is completely out of the AI value chain. And classified models will only be available to US and China.

Iran’s Military is a complete and total mess. Much of it, like their Navy and Air Force, doesn’t even exist anymore - They have been completely defeated. Iran is all talk and no action. The Bully of the Middle East is DEAD!!! They’ve taken too long to negotiate a deal that would have been great for them, now they will have to pay the price!!! President DONALD J. TRUMP

@Haselif1 @SparkDexAI @mystic_finance @Haselif1 depends on your risk tolerance. looping means you're leveraged so if stFLR depegs or the collateral ratio changes you could get liquidated. the yield is higher but it's not free money

Sakıp Sabancı Müzesi
Sakıp Sabancı Müzesi@SSabanciMuze·
100 yıl önce sanatseverler bir sergi geziyor. 1920’ler İstanbul’unda sergi kültürü henüz yeni, izleyiciler ise meraklıydı. Ramiz Gökçe, 1923’te Akbaba dergisinde yayımlanan karikatürlerinde işte bu atmosferi aktarır. İstanbul’da ilk büyük karma sergi, Şeker Ahmed Paşa’nın girişimi ve Sultan Abdülaziz’in himayesiyle 1873’te Sultanahmet Sanayi Mektebi’nde kapılarını açar. Ardından Pera Salonları, Galatasaray Sergileri… Her biri bir adım, her biri bir tartışma. Sakıp Sabancı Müzesi Resim Koleksiyonu girişinde bizi geçmişin sergilerine götüren bir karikatürün hareketlendirilmiş ve seslendirilmiş animasyonu karşılıyor. 1923’ten bugüne uzanan yeni bir sergi deneyimi sizi bekliyor. Sanat hep hayatımızda. Dünya Sanat Günü’nüz kutlu olsun. @SabanciHolding 'in desteğiyle. ✍🏽 Ramiz Gökçe (1900–1953) “Akbaba”, 19 Temmuz 1923, Sayı 65; 23 Temmuz 1923, Sayı 66, Koç Üniversitesi VEKAM Kütüphanesi ve Arşivi. 🗣 Seslendirme: Sabancı Üniversitesi Tiyatro Kulübü öğrencileri

The day the Affordable Care Act passed was one of my proudest moments as president, because it meant that millions of Americans would have access to health care, some for the first time. The ACA also prevented insurance companies from denying people with pre-existing conditions coverage, allowed young people under the age of 26 to remain on their parents’ plan, expanded Medicaid, and so much more. But the ACA was always meant to be a first step. We still have to do more to expand access and make health care more affordable for everyone.
