@Hellkingbuckets

A bucket most lewd. I write naughty things but you can't see them here. You will however see a lot of liked and retweeted porn.

Writing prompts: I'm currently working on writing a lewd Tabletop RPG somewhat based on the Resident Evil franchise. If anyone sees this and has any erotic ideas for a pairing or situation based on resident evil that I could turn into a story then by all means drop them below

@stillnotking75 @LionKimbro @CovfefeAnon No it doesn't. Its just a pathetic attempt by a short sighted fool to morally reframe his cowardice. How's this one for you: when the tally is counted and everyone lives, they can all see you're part of the less than 10% who wanted them all to die

@Hellkingbuckets @LionKimbro @CovfefeAnon Yes, I would push the button. Same problem! I am extremely confident that less than 50% would refuse to push it, prob less than 10% The reason the blender reframing is useful is it mimics genuinely facing imminent death, clarifying your perception of others' perceptions

This twitter classic "red button / blue button" [everyone who picks blue dies unless more than 50% do; everyone who picks red lives] question is cursed but we've learned a lot about people since it went around on the timeline the last time First to get this out of the way - there is zero actual reason to push blue - none - there is no "payoff to cooperation" being modeled since the payoff on offer - not dying - is the same for both choices. The only rational reason to pick blue is that you *hope* less than 50% of people pick blue so you can end your life and escape the person who is putting you in contrived hypotheticals for his own amusement With that out of the way - what we've learned in the 2 years since this hit the timeline the first time is that many, many people are simply next token predictors and when they see this example they say they will pick the "cooperative" choice (which isn't actually that!) We have also learned that when confronted with the stupidity of this position, they will simply costlessly double down and "argue" about it forever rather than admit error Really, the question is extremely revealing

@ColinJSharpe How much does society need to be made worse for everyone to try and ensure the survival of even the dumbest humans? Can one babysitter watch ten children? 100? 1,000? When does it start to harm the babysitter & existing children to keep adding more children who need babysitting?

@stillnotking75 @LionKimbro @CovfefeAnon You're a coward for not being willing to take a slight risk to ensure the safety of others yes, but hey my turn to reframe. There is one button. By doing nothing everyone survives. But if more than half the people push the button the others die. No amount of reframing changes it

@Hellkingbuckets @LionKimbro @CovfefeAnon Let's reframe the problem: everyone on Earth is forced to choose whether to get in a giant blender. If 50% of people get in, the blender cannot start, and no one will die. Otherwise the people in the blender will die Am I committing murder by not stepping into a giant blender

@RealDianeYap I care about the outcome of not wanting to clean up 3 billion corpses... Oh and not having massive amounts of the complex machine of society gutted just to be left with midwits who think not wanting people to die is somehow illogical

“Would you risk your life for people who are bad at expected value problems?” The answer is straightforward. Either you care about the outcome or you care about looking like a heckin’ good person.

Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press?

Blue voters are so full of shit on so many levels. 1. The question is not over whether you are selfless its whether you think most people are. Even the most holier than thou lib believes most people are selfish and thus would not press blue. 2. If everyone just presses red no one dies. blue adds unnecessary death. 3. They are moralizing the experiment to ask “what is the good person answer” rather than honestly reflecting on what theyd do if it really happened. I guarantee you that you put any person in that room and say “if you vote blue but most people dont, we will SHOOT YOU” that not one single person will take that risk, especially given #1.

@fimbres_paul @LionKimbro @CovfefeAnon You absolutely are murdering them. You are taking a willful action in the full understanding that by you taking that action other people can die. That's murder. That is 100% murder. And if I died the following day I'd go to heaven knowing I'm at least smarter than 51% of humanity

@LionKimbro @CovfefeAnon You are not killing anyone by pushing red. That’s the fundamental problem blue advocates have. You are only potentially killing somebody if you push the blue button, which is a button saying “Join a suicide pact for no reason.”

@PhilsburyDoboy @waitbutwhy Murders are cowards and won't attack if ye're not the majority. Taking a willful act with the full understanding that it could cause the death of others is murder. Even if red fails everyone who selected it is an attempted murderer.

@Hellkingbuckets @waitbutwhy That’s not the same. You’ve dropped the 50% requirement. Also choosing to take a pill doesn’t make you a murderer. Just because you can write a word doesn’t make that word applicable to this. Red pillers are murderers only if you think a witness to a suicide is also a murderer.

@ItsRobbAllen Logical reason 1: modern society will not survive 49% of the population dropping dead in the streets. Logical reason 2: if red wins you will be trapped in a world populated by logically deficient psychopaths willing to murder you for literally no reason

New Trolley problem has arrived, only it's dumber. Pres Red - 100% chance of living. Blue - Non-zero chance of dying. It has nothing to do with empathy for others unless you're stuck on suicidal empathy, which is YOUR fault, not mine. There is ZERO logical reason for ANYONE to press blue. NONE.

@LavenderGhast This is one thing I love about doing personal translations. So many times I've found that the simple translation just doesn't make sense, so I dump the term directly into search engines to see what shows up in cultural usage or slang

See what happens when you don't localize everything and write around global audiences so that everything can be automatically understood instead of "this doesn't translate well, lets switch it out". People don't get angry and confused, they often just go out of their way to learn about something they didn't understand at the time. I didn't know what Senpai meant as a kid because we don't have that word. If it'd been changed to be better understood I might never have learnt. Being introduced to different references, even just basic jokes, characters, words, practices is a positive. It encourages learning and understanding. Not a negative to be localized away.

Pragmata scene where Diana spins a globe is actually a reference to bizarre Japanese comedy act that “definitely doesn’t make sense to Western players” The visual gag is a nod to a popular skit by comedian Gor☆geous. automaton-media.com/en/news/pragma…
