Oh man, it does just bring back memories! It is so nice to see the USS Nebraska is looking so Majestic. I used to be a psychiatric technician in the Navy, and 15 years ago or so, there was an accident on the USS Nebraska and the Navy dispatched to psychiatric technicians from Naval Base Pearl Harbor. Myself and another HM2 got to go escorted onto the USS Nebraska and help those sailors through that tragedy. It was such an honor to receive a Commanding Officer's coin. This is one of my fondest memories. Females did not get to go on submarines so to have the opportunity to do so was so memorable I will never forget it. It was an honor to help those sailors.

Having a "Me vs. You" mentality like this is not Teamwork. Anyone would be miserable in those conditions. Teamwork is required in marriage. The couple verses the issue as a team to overcome it.

I actually followed your logic with you. You wanted to dismiss the blue haired lady and I said hey I understand you want to do that but that's not really how things work. You brought in children and their lack of right to vote. I suspect you don't like the connection that if we followed your logic women and children would be treated the same. You wouldn't want your voting rights taken away either or be equated to children. If the roles were reversed would you like what's happening on the other side? The whole what's good for the goose is good for the gander!

If ALL or most women have all those blessings you just enumerated, they DO have a lot skin in the game. And because that skin in the game, they should have the right to vote. Is that the case in real life? Marriage is not present in the greatest % of women’s life this = no husbands. “Sons” or daughters? Birth rate begs to differ. Why a blue haired, cat owner with pronouns in her bio should have “the right” to vote, because she has skin in the game 🤔or just because “she is a woman?”Mind you she rioted in 2020, and is currently sheering for Iran to win against us

I'm really glad you brought this up! A child is not allowed to vote not because of their gender. But because their brain is not developed to a point at which they can make such weighted decisions. Your argument if I understand it correctly is that women should not be able to vote because they are women. Are you inferring that women are like children and cannot make such weighted decisions? Is it because the person can't make sound decisions because their brain isn't fully developed or is it because of their gender?

It’s not “placing worth” on individuals; it’s recognizing the quality and the fairness of the rights of the individuals. Regardless of voting or in this case, serving, they all have God’s image and, in that sense, equal worth. But we don’t vote based on our worth, otherwise a child or a noncitizen would have the right to vote. Both are equally worthy in the eyes of God, yet they cannot vote.

@Huggyzim Yes I agree but you have to remember whether there is teamwork or not depends on broader cultural context which I condemn, "me vs you" is cultural fact, we have to navigate through it as men and women - each of our groups having their interest and rights

There was income tax prior to 1920–federal income tax instituted in 1913– so women and men were taxed regardless of vote. The issue Andrew raises here goes beyond the draft or women in combat: can the ability to exercise power via vote be in the hands of those who has less skin in the game? Why should the vote of one who has to risk it all be cancelled out by the vote of another one who is exempt from all the worse risks the former has to face? The level of rights and powers has to match the level of responsibilities . As of right now IT DOES NOT. Are all women voting the way you stated here? The answer is no.🤷‍♂️

I agree with everything Andrew said up until “it’s unfair for women to vote to send men to war” We vote for so much more than just war. We vote on how our taxes are allocated, homeland security, etc etc. What would be unfair is women working and being taxed (which they would still have to do in many circumstances) and yet not having any say in the use of their tax money. That’s called “Taxation without representation” I’m also fine with women being drafted into non combat military roles if that makes it “more fair” for the men who make this argument x.com/eMTBrides/stat…

Anything else you read into that was your own opinion not what I wrote. **Everyone is responsible for their own actions and to have boundaries.** If she really is being abused then unfortunately no one can help her but herself. If she doesn't like the way her man treats her she should leave no different than anyone else.

You wouldn’t give any other woman this leeway Christians don’t excuse their sin and tell stories to paint themselves in the best light possible. They own it and repent and credit God for His grace and mercy. If she just said “I was a sinner, found Christ, and now I’m different because of Him” she would find grace in the community. At least ours, the community she’s created probably not. But instead she twists and turns stories to make herself appear more righteous than those she criticizes for the same behaviors.
