As of Today, April 1, 2021, the minimum staffing of the Tukwila Fire Department will go back to 13. This is the result of a mediated agreement between Local 2088 and the City of Tukwila. #staffingmatters @RickyWalsh @WSCFF_UNION @WSCFF9th

Seasons greetings from your Tukwila Firefighters IAFF Local 2088! To help celebrate a Merry Christmas, we’ll have a special passenger tonight! On December 20th, from 5pm to around 7 pm, we’ll be giving a ride throughout the city to the one and only Santa Claus!

With Covid, we weren’t able to have retirement ceremonies for our members who have retired in 2020. We made the drive out to Mason County to present Greg Hansen his retirement axe! Congrats Greg and enjoy your retirement! #retirement #iaff

Your Tukwila Firefighters IAFF Local 2088 has sent two members to assist in search and rescue missions with the Washington Task Force-1.

The team, based out of the Pierce County Department of Emergency Management, could be deployed for up to 14 days. For more information about the Urban Search and Rescue Task Force, visit co.pierce.wa.us/2889/Urban-Sea….

Washington Task Force-1 FEMA Urban Search and Rescue has been activated to support Oregon and assist in search and rescue missions. The Type 1 team, consisting of 70 people from Pierce and King counties and the City of Seattle Fire Department, are leaving Friday night.
