@TomFornelli How much time did you waste filling out your bracket?
The problem with the non-auto-generated is that someone with the auto-generated fill-in is going to beat the methodically filled in bracket EVERY TIME.
It's an absolute waste of time to fill them in manually.
If we're being honest, my biggest problem with the NCAA Tournament expanding isn't that they don't need more teams, or that those teams will be mediocre high majors.
It's that the new format will completely change the way you fill out a bracket. You either have to include the play-in games, which leaves you with less time to put your bracket together, or you have to wait until all those play-in games are finished before you can fill it out. Both options suck.
@MicrosoftEdge Why is it so hard to get Edge out of fullscreen on a touch device when we accidentally make it fullscreen?
Swipe from the top? Yeah...right.
Press esc? With what keyboard?
Can we get a 3rd (and 4th and 5th) option that ACTUALLY WORKS??!?!!?
@skyaakaa@WindowsLatest The hubris of the common executive that never acknowledges the userbase and only surrounds themselves with yes men that jump at every command. The yes men are too afraid of losing their jobs to speak their minds.
Typical corporate culture.
@WindowsLatest They only woke up because of mac neo and when their profit numbers started shrinking. They still dont care about users. Dont get fooled by their statements.
Breaking: CEO Satya Nadella admits Microsoft needs to "win back" Windows fans, confirms 1.6 billion monthly active devices
Microsoft CEO Nadella confirmed that the company still cares about consumers and that it will "win back" Windows fans.
Microsoft recently confirmed it'll give users greater control over Windows updates, including the ability to pause updates for as long as you want, and a movable taskbar.
Other features coming to Windows 11 include a faster taskbar, Start menu, ability to resize Start menu and taskbar, faster File Explorer, reduced OS crashes, and dramatically faster performance, especially for gamers.
We're already seeing early bits in the preview builds, so the promises are not just words.
@WindowsLatest - Local logins?
- Edge not asking to change my settings or search engine?
-OneDrive not requiring a windows login?
-Edge not using my OneDrive "soft windows login" to get me to sign into Edge?
-A taskbar as functional as 10's?
Slopya still doesn't get it.
Full statement by Satya Nadella:
When it comes to our consumer business, we are doing the foundational work required to win back fans and strengthen engagement across Windows, Xbox, Bing, and Edge.
In the near term, we are focused on fundamentals, prioritizing quality and serving our core users better.
You see this in the work underway across our consumer products.
With Windows, we recently announced performance improvements for lower memory devices, streamlined the Windows Update experience, and brought back focus to core features and fundamentals that matter most to our customers.
And you also see this in Xbox where the team is recommitting to our core fans and players, and shaping the future of play.
Last week’s Game Pass changes are one example of how we are staying responsive to customer feedback.
Monthly active Windows devices surpassed 1.6 billion, and over time Windows value will extend to deliver unmetered intelligence at the edge.
Our Edge browser has taken share for 20 consecutive quarters, and Bing monthly active users reached 1 billion for the first time.
LinkedIn has 1.3 billion members and we are seeing increased depth of conversation, and it’s the leading B2B sales and advertising channel for large and small businesses.
We set new records for monthly Xbox active users in the quarter, as well as game streaming hours.
And in Microsoft 365 consumer, we now have nearly 95 million subscribers, and early signals show increasing satisfaction as we make Agent Mode the default.
@WindowsLatest Slopya needs to allow users to turn off telemetry in the settings. No registry hacks.
They also need to just bring back 10's usable taskbar.
@LevAkabas Moneyball baseball is the most boring kind of baseball there is.
Stand around and wait for the pitcher to throw a ball.
The rules need to change because they stat-fucked the game.
@EOnce94498@SLCScanner If you want the fastest cut....
Blade Type: Type 1 (Flat) Cut-off Wheel.
Why: These abrasive discs eat through galvanized steel easily. Ensure the disc is rated for "Metal" or "Stainless Steel" and is thin (usually 1/16 inch or 3/64 inch) for a clean slice.
#SouthEndOfValley A motorcycle fled from an officer and was taking video of the officer while fleeing. He got onto Porter Rockwell Blvd in Bluffdale and they lost him for a few.
Another officer possibly located the motorcycle and it was on I-15 SB at 140+MPH. One officer is still behind him, they are now in #Lehi. The helicopter is launching. Officer stopped the motorcycle and it yielded. After getting description of the original bike that fled the one in #Lehi isn’t the same one.
Textbook blockade adaptation underway via Pakistan.
Iranian container ships are now docking in Karachi and other ports to transship cargo overland into Iran.
Reason #342 Trump’s blockade won’t work: Iran is a continental state with plenty of alternate transit routes. 👇

@Zridic@MrCombatSports@MrBigDoIt13@ShamsCharania That means nothing. Larry H Miller built the team organically. He put his heart soul and body into it. The current owner just wants to cheat his way to the top. And it's mind-blowing how easy it is to get a fan base on board with tank/cheat-for-draft-picks team build strategy.
@IMFulluvit@MrCombatSports@MrBigDoIt13@ShamsCharania The jazz are also a tema that has NEVER moved up in the draft, never gotten the number one pick, but also have a high winning percentage as a franchise compared the like of the kings, or wizards
The NBA has disclosed to its 30 GMs a singular new anti-tanking reform that expands the draft lottery to 16 teams, flattens odds, and have a relegation zone where the bottom 3 teams are penalized with fewer lottery balls for the No. 1 pick.
ESPN details: espn.com/nba/story/_/id…
@IMFulluvit@TkachukFanAcc@MrCombatSports@MrBigDoIt13@ShamsCharania No one is arguing that tanking is good and punishing tanking is great, but say this does reduce/eliminate tanking. The bottom teams will just be teams that suck, and because they suck they get penalized. That shouldn’t be how it works
@wereaddictedX@TheDunkCentral Does the NBPA and Owners have to agree to this for it to be implemented? I don't see it happening.
Maybe the Adam "clown show" Silver will grow a pair and push it through?
TLDR for the lazy people. Bottom 3 teams get worse odds for top pick, middle of pack team better odds for top pick. Now teams have to compete to not be a bottom team. Also no more back to back first round pick winners and no three consecutive years in a row of top 5 pick. Bottoming out is no longer a thing in the league. GG
NBA Proposes New Lottery System to Crack Down on Tanking:
• Lottery expands from 14 → 16 teams
Relegation zone (bottom 3 teams) gets fewer odds for No. 1 pick
• Teams outside bottom 3 get better lottery odds (3 balls vs 2)
• Play-in teams also receive lottery balls (varies by seed)
• No team can win No. 1 pick in back-to-back years
• No team can get 3 straight top-5 picks
Picks 12–15 can no longer be protected
• NBA can punish tanking by reducing odds or moving picks
• System would run through 2029 (trial period)

@TheDunkCentral That's a good start. But the teams that have intentionally tanked, like the Jazz, for the last 3 years, should be fined and prevented from getting a first round draft pick. 30/30 defense efficiency 3 years in a row.
There's no if. That's statistically guaranteed intent.
@BigBlindBets13@Tr1ce_H1gh@ShamsCharania That's a Silver problem. He's a 1 man clown show that prioritizes money over game integrity. Always has. That's why players get injured. They fake it or it's real and they don't have to work. Salary is guaranteed. That's a huge part of the problem with the NBA's CBA.
@Tr1ce_H1gh@ShamsCharania Exactly whats going to happen and teams will be forced to move because the fanbase is gone. OKC,Spurs,Pistons,Celtics all got to rebuild from tanking and lottery but now no one else can
@TkachukFanAcc@MrCombatSports@MrBigDoIt13@ShamsCharania "never be able to build a winner"
"build a winner"
What you really meant was "cheat to win". Intentionally losing is CHEATING. It's poor sportsmanship. It's asking guys to suit up and play half-assed for half a decade.
To "build" that winning team.
Do you hear yourself?
@MrCombatSports@MrBigDoIt13@ShamsCharania But that’s literally what this is incentivizing??? Instead of being able to be bad and build a winning team if you’re bad you’ll get stuck with mid prospects and never be able to build a winner
@MrCombatSports@MrBigDoIt13@ShamsCharania Jazz did it. After 3 years they've done something no other team has ever done: Finished dead last 30/30 in defense efficiency. Considering that's an impossibility without intent, the Jazz should be fined. A lot. $5M or more. Ainge fined. Smith fined and forced to sell.
@MrBigDoIt13@ShamsCharania Watch Key play. He intentionally sucks on defense. There's no trying. He does it on purpose.
And it's a near statistically impossible to be the worse defense in the league 3 years in a row without intent.
@ShamsCharania@utahjazz Ahahahahahaha. How's the dishonesty, cheating, intentionally losing, and throwing games working out?
No doubt Ainge and Smith thought they could game the system like the Spurs and Pistons did the last decade.
Jazz should have been fined $3M for 3 years of tanking.
@GovCox@MarianaMinerals Only makes sense while the price of copper is high. There's a lot of exporation and mines coming on line. When the initial $120M andresson horowitz investment runs out and it's not profitable, it will close again. Transportation fees are going to go way up due to diesel price.
Today, we made history in San Juan County.
The first blast at @MarianaMinerals Copper One marks a return to building the materials that power American strength and security.
Global copper demand could outstrip supply as soon as 2027. By 2050, we may need to produce as much copper as has been mined in all of human history to power energy, communications, and transportation. For too long, America outsourced the materials that power our future. Today, Utah is helping bring them back.
Projects like Copper One create real opportunity in rural Utah, and help ensure we’re not dependent on adversaries for the resources that drive our economy and defend our nation.
This is what it looks like to build again. 🇺🇸
