People simply have no idea the extent to which Christianity has influenced their own morality until they’re exposed to a truly foreign culture which doesn’t use Christianity as a North Star.

Culture is geographic as much as it is historic. I don’t disagree that western morality is based on Christianity, but even among the west there are heaps of different moral systems.

Being an asshole in a western country has a different threshold than it would in an Asian country, for example. Why is that?
