Dr James Hanks presented at the 7th Seminar on Nordic Mastitis Research on 3rd November, discussing UK milk recording data to benchmark SCC and mastitis. Over the past decade, SCC metrics improved e.g. cows dried-off with no SCC ≥ 200k rose from 39.7% (2014) to 51.0% (2023).

Johne’s Disease management is complex, with fatigue and cognitive dissonance hindering control. At the 23rd SIDILV Congress in Italy, @DrEmmaHolt highlighted JD’s impact on herd performance, helping advisors strengthen on-farm engagement. @IDEXX
