Leftists have deliberately blurred the vital distinction between rights and privileges. Liberty is a right, not a privilege. A right is something that cannot be legitimately taken from you. It is inherent to your existence. A privilege is something granted to you, which can just as easily be revoked. Government entitlements. There are no “positive” rights handed to you by the government. Those are privileges. Only natural rights exist. Life, liberty, property.

This is untrue. In the 1950's, the US and Canada gave reactors to India with a signed agreement that India would not then go on to develop weapons. US/Canada were highly invested in gaining a political and economic foothold in India since the Brits had lost their grip. Starting in the 60s and accelerating in the 70s, India lied and broke the agreement, pouring resources into enriching uranium and developing weapons, including secret test detonations they mostly still deny conducting to this day. China then turned around and gave actual nukes and related tech to Pakistan as a counterbalance, who almost immediately sold parts of the Chinese tech to Iran, Libya, and North Korea.
