God keeps bringing the gospel to the world’s biggest stage. Former Navy SEAL Chadd Wright was on Joe Rogan, sharing how the cross is foolishness to the natural man, but real faith happens when God makes us alive to believe the gospel—Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. 2 Corinthians 5:20: “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.” We plant the seeds—God brings the harvest.

[Soteriology101’s / Provisionism’s] Fatal Flaw: Babies don’t need Jesus. ⬆️ This nukes their entire “vague-all” centered position.

@ThugLifeSproul Some people really act that way. Never met (in person) certain people at such enmity against God being in total control.

How is White wrong? In your comment, are you assuming “all” means all creation from all time without exception? Can you substantiate any of this in context? Or, does it only mean all people from all time without exception? Or, all people of the age of accountability onward from all time without exception? (Etc.) Please give us reasoning for your firm conclusion, because “all without distinction” or “all kinds of” perfectly fits the context and grammar.

@RevReads289 It’s all God’s work, not man’s. IOW, those who receive Christ do so because of God first working in them. Always go to first principles.

The more I read the Bible the more convinced I am that my old beliefs were wrong.

@ProvisionistP So have I. But there are also primary, secondary, and tertiary issues. For example, my eschatology has shifted some over the past few years, but that’s a secondary issue for me. Also, not conflating dogma with preferences and things like that.

Always hit on the foundations when debating someone. Otherwise it’s akin to dancing on the stars. Going round and round… while accomplishing very little. It saves time and keeps the conversation grounded.

@IrrTruth @ProvisionistP If you are just going to make it a moral argument by accusing the other side of boasting, I will respond appropriately to that accusation as the gossip that it is.

Sure, but the whiney passive aggressive comments get old. Suggestion: being the thought police may not advance your cause. We should come together on foundational agreements, while still be able to discuss disagreements. And it’s okay if you “really-really” disagree, but maybe don’t engage if you get offended by any argument but yours. 👊

@IrrTruth @ProvisionistP Yes, I will keep looking to Christ in faith. I hope you do the same and stop gossiping about other people. Just be thankful that they also look to Christ in faith.

You don’t seem to want to discuss this important topic in good faith, and I’m showing you your representative literally basing humility in man (many other quotes on his site as well). The key point is about placing God as the reason for one’s humility to want to believe in Christ, as scripture says, not man as the originator. Feel free to defend the latter, if you’d like. That’s a line you do not seem to want to touch with a 10 foot pole. Also, it’s best not to generally assign verses meant for Christians as a source formula applied to and assuming unbelievers as originators of their faith. Have a great day. 👊

@IrrTruth @ProvisionistP This isn't boasting. Saying you can do something is not prideful boasting. You are assuming motives that you can't know are there. You can argue that he is wrong theologically but this is not the same as him boasting over what he has done. Stop gossiping.

Let me attempt to clear up what I’m saying (the foundational argument). It’s not about humility being bad. Humility is a good thing! The issue is the source. Flowers seems to argue that an unbeliever can muster up humility to seek God on his own, to then receive saving grace. He anchors this in his overarching filter of “libertarian free will.” The Calvinist, or at least me, says it’s a both/and. The source is from God to enable one to do so AND the person will do it (freely, though not in the libertarian sense of autonomy; freedom does not require libertarianism). A man’s desires change, wants change, etc. and he acts accordingly. These are miraculous workings of the godhead as the source, not man’s heart being the source to one day become humble enough to want to worship Christ forever. This is my entire foundational point. This is why there is no boasting, because we didn’t originate it. You can’t originate it and then claim there’s no boasting! The Bible assumes God is the originator. Flowers acts as if random people can become humble, as if they are the source, and then cites verses for Christians or under a larger context of indicative statements. That’s the issue. Again, tag him if you want. I’ll attach his logic and will leave you with this. He sources this in man while I’m just saying to go deeper and source it in God, the proper source, which then flows through the one believing (both/and):

@IrrTruth @ProvisionistP If you are making the accusation and it is so easy to find, you should demonstrate the claim. I am under no burden to look up supposed dirt on other Christians in order to demean them. Again, until you can provide it, I'll mark you as a gossip.

Drew…. You still haven’t reached out. I want to catch up and hear what you have going on in life, ministry, etc. Seriously. Just as friends. Haven’t talked to you since likely a video we were on a few years ago or something. I’ll pm you my number or we can do a video chat…. Whatever’s easier. I’m up for either! (No clouds involved 😎)

@IrrTruth @ProvisionistP I'll just take this as gossip for now. Satan loves to accuse the brothers in Christ and demean them. You should think twice about doing his work for him.
