A member of my team, born just 5 miles from the spot where we were standing, was challenged in the street by a young Asian man who told him he should not be campaigning during Ramadan. This is Britain. Our democratic process does not pause for any religion. Elections are conducted according to the law of the land, and political parties are entitled to campaign lawfully, respectfully and peacefully.
