Do people like this? We don't do this for codex because it exists to help you and it's important that you remain the owner and accountable for your work without AI taking credit. At the same time it does mean that you can't trace how popular codex is among repos.

I noticed something interesting: Claude Code auto-adds itself as a co-author on every git commit. Codex doesn’t. That’s why you see Claude everywhere on GitHub, but not Codex. I wonder why OpenAI is not doing that. Feels like an obvious branding strategy OpenAI is skipping.

A thing that has bothered me for a while with @convex is that for the longest time we have told LLMs via our guidelines that they MUST ALWAYS use returns validators on functions. I have long suspected this wasn't needed and just makes the code more verbose and difficult to refactor. So I decided finally to remove those guidelines and saved a couple of hundred tokens of guidelines AND to my surprise saw a nice bump in model performance across the board!

@mntruell Went over my cursor limit and started experimenting with Codex CLI. Seems like I get more output at higher quality on Codex 5.2 High for like 25% of the price? Made me stop using my $60 Cursor subscription almost entirely (now I just come back for debug mode)
