I think atm everyone is benefiting, the gradient you described is true 1x->10x ; 10x->100x, but looking at it from the lens of friends who work in 'normal jobs' it automates a lot of the work and they end up becoming Managers for their own work. Productivity gains are great atm all will continue to be so (although I do know folks who complain about how agents work with more complex/bigger or less documented/niche codebases)
I think with agents and claude co-work slowly normalising the 'busy work' (visually simplifying the experience too) it wont be long before non-tech talent starts vibe-coding like some engineers are tbh

If the average engineer becomes ~10x more productive with AI, what happens at the top of the distribution?
Does the best engineer become 100x more effective?
My intuition is that AI flattens the middle and left side of the talent curve raising baseline output while steepening the right tail
Top performers compound their advantages and end up capturing a disproportionate share of the value because you outsource most execution to AI agents. Power law dynamics
To what extent does this dynamic play out in other roles beyond engineering?
How does AI reshape the talent–productivity curve overall both in terms of slope and shifts in the distribution?
