La Santísima Virgen María, Corredentora y Mediadora de todas las Gracias. Es ella la que le aplastará la cabeza a la serpiente por designio de Dios, el demonio la odia, al igual que la masonería eclesial que busca blasfemar quitándole sus títulos!

@CatholicDrip___ Funny how you guys never finish a passage. Can't answer to the fact that the only example of asking the queen mother for anything resulted in the requestor being executed. Not the win you think it is.

In the Davidic kingdom, the king’s mother had a throne (1 Kings 2:19). Jesus is the Son of David (Luke 1:32). So does His mother have a role in His kingdom?

@lastra_joe @NMoonitz I did. Once again, you misrepresent me. You are out of gas, so you resort to this nonsense. Like I said, good evening. I have better things to do than engage in a bad faith discussion.

@JMDeVito2 @NMoonitz If your argument is the Bible contains everything you need, I think it’s a valid question to ask what Bible you use and how you determined that Bible was the Word of God. Very telling that can’t answer that.

I honestly had no idea there was so much friction among the Christian denominations. I mean I know the Catholics and the Protestants have a history, but I didn’t know it was still so heated.

@lastra_joe @NMoonitz You are just argumentative. You misrepresent what I said, denying that the canon was ever closed, and opening the door for an anything goes approach with the inability to authenticate anything. Have a good evening.

@JMDeVito2 @NMoonitz To reiterate: The Bible contains everything -> the verse that negates this actually means in the future it will contain everything -> can’t justify at what point everything is contained and what version of the Bible contains it. Fruits of the reformation (ECF according to you)

@lastra_joe @NMoonitz I need not justify any of that. You have the 27 book NT as does every Christian system I am aware of, that is what you are surely speaking of, and I am not going down a rabbit hole of playing games.

@JMDeVito2 @NMoonitz I’m not Catholic or EO. I’ll let you respond in the other thread. You’ll need to justify when the Bible was established, who established it and what books make it up. This is predicated on your interpretation of Paul’s verse being correct (I don’t think it is)

@beetle67a @tobeawitness @josephnollasj You tried to draw a distinction between "am" and "is" and they are the same verb, same meaning, same application. Please don't try to say I am looking for a loophole. Have a good afternoon.

@JMDeVito2 @tobeawitness @josephnollasj As for me and my house, we don’t hunt for loopholes in His words. I hear Him clearly saying ‘This is My Body.’ I live it, and the joy is real. This is my testimony. Go in peace.

@lastra_joe @NMoonitz I go by the canon of the 66. You have them too. Same NT as you, which is what you have been talking about, so your point is moot and you are trying to change the focus.

@JMDeVito2 @NMoonitz The argument you’re making is that we don’t need tradition anymore because everything has been documented in the Bible. What books make up that Bible and when was that Bible established?

@lastra_joe @NMoonitz That would be my answer. I am relying on the text. You still have not explained how you authenticate oral traditions, and ignored my comment about the Bereans. Catholic or Ortho, you should know about praying to Mary and saints.

@JMDeVito2 @NMoonitz So when Paul wrote that verse, he meant that the entire NT hasn’t been written yet, but when it gets completed, you can rely only on the teachings taught by text. That’s your answer? And I’m not defending prayers to Mary/Saints, I don’t have the knowledge for that.

@JMDeVito2 @NMoonitz That is exactly the point, because it shows the faith existed without the written NT. The argument you’re making is there’s a point where everything’s been transferred to text and any tradition outside of that isn’t relevant. When did that happen and what Bible is correct?

@lastra_joe @NMoonitz You are just being stubborn. I agreed, that not everything was written. So Paul faithfully preached what was true. Now we have it written. The oral tradition is no longer applicable. Show me where, from the beginning, not 300 years later, that an apostle or Jesus (next)...

@lastra_joe @NMoonitz Not the point. You are engaging in anacronisms. We have it written. You are advocating for oral tradition where it is not longer applicable, as we have the content now.

@lastra_joe @NMoonitz ...preach a tradition, it is not only my right but my duty to check it against Scripture, and it is that way for everyone. If you just blindly accept what you are told, you aren't guarding your faith.

@lastra_joe @NMoonitz At the beginning, you are correct, everything may not have been written, but they could, as the Bereans did, examine Scripture to authenticate what they were told. And over time this became written. We have the epistles, we have the NT now. And we have the OT. If you (next)...

@lastra_joe @NMoonitz You cannot reduce Christianity down to soundbites, and an attempt to do so only shows you are more interested in battling snippets than the truth. You do realize that the same HS that wrote the NT also wrote the OT, and the Gospel is in the OT as well. Your point here is weak.

@lastra_joe @NMoonitz You engage in Four Word Theology. There is a verse that says "There is no god". Shall we build a belief on that? Of course not. Context matters. You only want to cherrypick. I refer to examining context and the whole counsel of Scripture, and that leads to your reply? 🤦‍♂️
