The very least I expect regarding halal and kosher meat is that I have every choice to avoid buying meat from religious ritualistic animal torture because as an atheist with a conscience myself, I don't agree with it at all.
I just want to know my meat has come from courteous British farmers who respect animals and my freedom to choose animal welfare over ancient barbarism that in my opinion and at least to me, has very little merit in the modern world.
