@andrewleedr @felly500 I was shocked to find the date of "The ambulance down in the valley " is 1895. The improvement approach is to look up the road and figure out why so many people are heading for the edge of the cliff. Not necessarily an issue health can solve in isolation I think.

Heard the story of the cliff? Every year many people slip and fall off a cliff & injure themselves. The treatment approach is to build a trauma centre at the bottom to treat the injured. The public health approach is to erect a fence at the top. Invest in prevention.

Complaints there aren't enough covid tests. We've a plentiful but finite no. of tests & lab capacity, & they aren't cheap. The solution isn't build yet more labs (costly, takes time & unsustainable long term) & buy more tests, but to prevent & cut down the no. of infections.

@Enterprise_TA Great to see our next generation of professionals emerging. I did my MA in social work 25 years ago as part of my health & social care journey. We still have a much to do in making sure that what's important to the people we support is the focus of our work.

Year 13 Health & Social Care students visited Mr Tilley's Turning Heads project at the Windmill Centre as research into youth work projects. It was really powerful to see how more vulnerable members of the community are supported by this excellent program. 👍♥️

We are drowning in failed vanity projects in a strategic vacuum. Until this is sorted we will be in and out of local and national lockdowns - please just resource local gov and NHS labs to do it - we’ve been doing it for many years with HIV, hepatitis - we can’t go on like this!
