It probably shouldn’t but it really baffles me that this narrative is still attempting to be pushed when A: it has been proven that the field dimensions are similar if not larger than several other SEC and major college baseball stadiums and B: the team has hit home runs at a similar pace on the road in SEC series where they went 5-0 (11-4 overall) against 5 teams that made the tournament and 3 that hosted

See lots of people talking about “loyalty” in the portal. The extremes always get the headlines.
YES, some kids are searching for $ (and why shouldn’t they if they can get it?)
But MANY in the portal are:
1. Players who have been told there is no roster spot for them at their current school
2. Players looking for a better fit (want more at bats, more time in the field, more innings on the mound)
Let’s not be blind to the fact that the Portal has been a blessing for many players who would have otherwise been shit out of luck.
