@MarcSDuffy IMO has more to do with the Hopkinson/Wilson era vision + how well Eddie fits vs the external candidate that can meaningfully take the club forward and is available. The World Cup will further compress things in the summer. Howe very good with players in year 2. Tough call.

No official statement on this could well mean they change their mind if things don’t pick up between now and the end of the season.

As things stand, more likely underperforming 'stars' - insert your own (increasingly obvious) names in here - will be chopped this summer than Eddie Howe. Going to be a big summer of change at NUFC - but the plan is for the head coach to lead it.
