Listening to a radio show host get so worked up over Eli Willits potentially signing underslot shows why fans are upset because they get their narrative formed by what they hear from the media. I will guarantee you that any money "saved" on a Willits underslot will be spent on other overslot draft picks. Part of the job of @nationals PR group is to get the right info to the media so they understand this. @PeterGFlaherty did a good job trying to give a great analysis and I could tell he was shocked by the radio host yelling "Lerners are cheap as hell."
