@StanFalk @wenc2030 @JackPosobiec If I were ever fortunate enough to be a guest on Rogan, I don’t think I would even consider opining on the Middle East because at the end of the day I’m just a random schmuk with an opinion. I would keep it to what I know.

@StanFalk @wenc2030 @JackPosobiec Eh, it sounds like you have your own biases as well. I’ve seen people come down on both sides of the debate. I’m not claiming to be an expert on the Middle East so I don’t know why you would draw that false equivalency. I’m not framing myself as some know-it-all.

@ChiefTodd16 @wenc2030 @StanFalk @JackPosobiec Smith has been on several top rated podcasts to opine on these subjects. That's his right. But don't say "I'm not an expert" just to dodge criticism. If you're putting yourself front & center on large platforms, you should stand behind what you say and actually know your stuff.

@JohnnyKilroy423 @wenc2030 @StanFalk @JackPosobiec That’s the problem, you think he is inviting people on to specifically talk about certain issues. He has people on, like comedians they end up talking about a topic such as Gaza or Ukraine and the comedian gives his opinion. That is very different than what you are trying to say.

@MisbegottenFool @blyssfulll Why should we accept change,if the Fantastic Four as a whole hasn't been adapted properly on the big screen, in the first place ? Being anti-woke doesn't make your statement any less ignorant. Johnny being a womanizing douche is part of his character arc.

@StanFalk @wenc2030 @JackPosobiec “I’m not an expert on football but let me give you my post game Super Bowl analysis…” I don’t know about you but maybe that’s not the right guy to have on your football studio panel. Who cares what they have to offer at that point?

@StanFalk @wenc2030 @JackPosobiec If this Norm character proclaims to be an expert on the subject then yes I take no issue with inviting him on. If you’re being invited to talk about a subject on the biggest podcast platform in the entire world, you should have more than just a passing knowledge.

@wenc2030 @StanFalk @JackPosobiec You don’t have to care what I think. The truth is the truth. Murray is right to call out Dave for his “I’m not an expert” schtick.

@Throg238673 @StanFalk @JackPosobiec The oddsmakers don’t make $ from the spread. Their goal is encourage 50/50 action on both sides and make $ from the vig. Sometimes they get it wrong and too much $ comes in on one side so they have to change the spread accordingly. A stats expert is not a sports expert.

@StanFalk @wenc2030 @JackPosobiec At no point did I suggest that someone like Dave Smith should be censored. He is free to bloviate about whatever he wants. But make no mistake, he’s absolutely asserting himself to be some type of expert… which is why it’s disingenuous of him to claim “I’m not an expert”.

Bad look. What people like me hear are the arguments that will later be used in calls for censorship. These things creep. You say he “should” today. That easily morphs into “he must” tomorrow. and we get laws governing speech. Look at Europe. Rogan could probably be prosecuted if he did his podcast in some of those countries and just because he lets a guest talk. If you don’t like his show, don’t watch. We’re dangerously close to guys like Rogan being declared dangerous. The talk about not “plaforming” or putting guardrails around certain topics feels like a new kind of “woke” to me.

@wenc2030 @StanFalk @JackPosobiec So if Rogan wants to have someone on to talk about the same issue from the other side, it would probably be best not to have someone on who spent most of that time working as a comedian. He can have his opinion, but he can’t speak from a place of authority.

@wenc2030 @StanFalk @JackPosobiec I’m not saying Douglas is right about everything or that Dave is wrong about everything, but one of these guys had a front row seat to the Middle East debacle for 20+ years and has been covering it extensively. He’s going to have more context and more knowledge.

@breedingtop691 @sleepin_volk @RichardHanania How is it hypocritical? Where did I defend legacy media??? And if this last election proved anything, it’s that new media has more reach and more influence than legacy media now. Rogan is arguably more influential than any legacy pundit currently going.

@JohnnyKilroy423 @sleepin_volk @RichardHanania This has to be the most hypocritical thing I’ve read. You’re saying this while legacy media has a farther reach and deeper influence on the populace. And you’re worried about JRE fans? Really?

Douglas Murray asks Rogan why he doesn’t have real historians on to discuss history. Rogan responds that he wanted Ian Carroll on because he was interested in how you get started in conspiracies? Rogan appears completely unable to justify what he’s doing.

Wow, @DouglasKMurray is getting absolutely curb-stomped in the comments—and for good reason. He came to an important conversation about whether history is a lie with nothing but emotional traps. If we're questioning the narrative, shouldn't we be free to discuss the facts? The answer is a resounding yes.

@TheeAndyMcGill @PinkPanther220 @samtripoli @DouglasKMurray I didn’t listen to the podcast. I only saw the exchange where they debated about “experts”… and for the most part I agreed with Murray even though he articulated his argument poorly. If you proclaim you aren’t expert, then maybe you shouldn’t be front and center on this issue.

@TheeAndyMcGill @PinkPanther220 @samtripoli @DouglasKMurray Yes actually, these athletes *should* shut up and dribble. I’m glad LeBron James has an opinion, and he’s entitled to it, but if I want gain some perspective on Israel and Palestine… I’m not really interested in what LeBron James has to say.

@JohnnyKilroy423 @PinkPanther220 @samtripoli @DouglasKMurray Right. Youre commenting on how much he should speak and about what topics he should speak about. Its just weird. Youre doing the shut up and dribble thing where somehow your occupation is all you should talk about. Its absurd.
