WATCH | Hi. I thought I should share this video. The suspect recently caught on camera in Mt Pleasant stealing diesel looks similar to the one filmed in Marlborough in November 2025. In that earlier incident, the man used a ladder to climb over a wall and steal fuel from a vehicle. He had a container and a pipe, which he used to siphon fuel from cars. Businessman Victor Magigwana lost almost US$80,000 in cash after it was seized by ZIMRA at Robert Gabriel Mugabe Airport. He was arrested for trying to leave Zimbabwe with the cash without declaring it or getting approval, which is required for any amount over US$2,000. Police had received a tip-off that he planned to smuggle the money out of the country, so he was closely monitored from the time he arrived at the airport. After passing through security without declaring the cash, he was stopped just before boarding a Tanzania Airlines flight. He was later released on US$300 bail. ZIMRA kept US$78,000 and only gave him US$2,000, which is the maximum amount allowed without prior approval.
