To combine the meteorology and aviation worlds for a second, earlier today a flight of KC-46 Pegasus tankers left Seymour Johnson AFB in Goldsboro, NC headed eastbound to add to the build up of USAF assets in the Middle East, bc of this I was paying attention. At 5:29pm the lead aircraft had just entered Canadian airspace over the southern end of Nova Scotia. By 10:47pm the lead aircraft had already completed the crossing & crossed all of the UK and was over the northernmost portion of English Channel & southern North Sea. Less than 5 1/2hrs! Impressive! And this lightning fast journey was all made possible thanks to the 140-150+ knot upper level jet stream tonight across a solid chunk of the North Atlantic.

An innocent women lost her life yesterday due to stupidity and a lot of people on here celebrating it man. Please take me outta this world

I’ve been a cop for 15 years. I pulled a guy over last night. He was doing 85 in a 55. Weaving. I walked up to the window ready to write a reckless driving ticket. Maybe even take him in. When he rolled down the window, he wasn't drunk. He was shaking. "My daughter," he gasped. "She's at Children's Hospital. The chemo isn't working. They called... they said I need to hurry." I looked at his eyes. You can’t fake that kind of terror. I folded my ticket book. "Follow me," I said. I got back in my cruiser, flipped on the lights and sirens, and I escorted him the 20 miles to the hospital. I cleared every intersection for him. We made a 30-minute trip in 15. He ran inside without looking back. I waited in the parking lot for an hour. Just in case. He came out later, saw me, and walked over. He looked hollowed out. "Did I make it?" I asked. "Yeah," he whispered. "I got to hold her hand while she went. You got me there." He tried to shake my hand, but he collapsed into my arms instead. Sometimes, to serve and protect means breaking the speed limit.

A horrific story out of Delaware. State Trooper Corporal Grade One Matthew T. Snook murdered in the line of duty. He leaves behind a wife and 1 year old daughter. I can’t think of a more important cause this Xmas than raising money for the family. As always 100% of proceeds will go directly to them and I will match 100%. I know money doesn’t lesson the pain in these situations but I did have the opportunity recently to sit with 3 widows from prior donation drives we’ve done.
