Interesting observation. My quality of life living in Mountain View next to Castro street is equivalent to living in North Beacon Hill in Seattle. Wonder why more people don't move.
Cost: Seattle was significantly cheaper and the house cost 1 million less.
Food: NBH has 3 coffee shops and 4 good lunch spots within walking distance. Castro st had more, but I don't really need more variety beyond my usuals.
Schools: MV has a better high school. The elementary and middle schools are similar.
Dogs: NBH has significantly more Samoyeds. And the dogs in Seattle are much better behaved. Not sure what that implies.

@calvinling626 My family sometimes booked hotels on the fly and it sometimes meant we were driving until 4am looking for an available motel to stay in.

@KathyXSun Very interesting and well funded. Probably the same target users. Funnily enough. I tried to switch to duckdb 2y ago. It couldn't compile properly on Windows. There were other bugs. Not sure if the state has been improved. DuckDB has a more comprehensive SQL dialect than Sqlite.

There's a real use case for Superintendent.app. But it seems I'm still missing something. I can't quite figure out what exactly.

I get that this is a 'classic HN!' comment but honestly.....RSS is still really great, and I am grateful that most major platforms have bolted-on RSS feeds to mollify the XML dorks like myself.

I feel like I just live in a different universe from these people? I haven't once gotten a result out from using it that makes me think "oh, this is a useful tool I need to have access to". Am I taking crazy pills here?

Pretty much every smart person I know has a ChatGPT tab open while they work now. Amazing how fast that happened.
