What’s the point of league play then? We’re losing top seeds because regular season champions aren’t getting the automatic byes to the conference tournament title game that they deserve.

@TCEonSGPN His highs were very high and lows were terrible, no consistency. But good move for him. Northern Illinois in the mountain west makes zero sense.

It was cool seeing him coach his alma mater. However the guy didn't really deliver as a great coach of NIU. Yes, he beat Notre Dame, Boston College and Georgia Tech. He was 37-45 at NIU though. Including a 2-5 record vs Ball State 2-4 vs Central Michigan 0-4 vs Miami OH 2-5 vs Toledo 1-2 vs Buffalo 3-3 vs EMU 2-2 vs Ohio 4-3 vs WMU. 4 of his 7 seasons at NIU were losing seasons and never had a double digit win season. The previous 4 coaches had double digit win seasons at NIU for comparison.

Some MSU people think Cohen was a bad AD but Cohen as as a baseball coach was a force of nature & the best “program builder” in the history of SEC baseball w what Cohen inherited at UK & MSU (both were dead last roster wise). Built Kentucky baseball & rebuilt MSU baseball from the ashes. That 2011 team had no business in Game 3 of a Super regional. That was ALL Cohen’s competitive temperament, fury & drive on display.
