Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim (بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم) is an Arabic phrase that translates to "In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful." This phrase is an invocation used by Muslims at the beginning of various activities and rituals. It serves both as an acknowledgment of the divine and as a spiritual focal point. While it is deeply rooted in Islamic tradition, its components are actually shared with pre-Islamic Semitic religions, as well as Judaism and Christianity, which also emphasize the merciful and compassionate nature of God. The phrase itself is a complex, theological construct compacted into a few words, each loaded with intricate meanings: - "Bismillah" (In the name of God) signifies starting an action with mindfulness and awareness of God, it's not merely a preamble but an active, conscious declaration that one is about to undertake an action for which divine guidance and blessing are sought. - "Al-Rahman" (the Most Gracious) and "Al-Rahim" (the Most Merciful) are two of the 99 names of Allah in Islamic tradition. These names refer to God's benevolent, compassionate, and forgiving nature. "Al-Rahman" focuses more on the all-encompassing, immediate mercy that God extends to all beings, while "Al-Rahim" signifies a specialized, continuous mercy that is reserved for believers. For non-Muslims, understanding this phrase can offer a window into the intricacies of Islamic spirituality, as well as the mindset that many Muslims adopt in their daily activities. It reflects a lived theology, a moment-to-moment engagement with the divine that moves beyond abstract conceptualization. Importantly, the phrase is not confined to religious rituals but is used in all sorts of mundane activities—before eating, before driving, before starting work, etc.—underscoring the Islamic ethos of integrating spirituality into everyday life. This invocation isn't a mere ritualistic utterance but a part of a complex interplay of language, theology, and cultural praxis that informs a larger worldview. The same idea resonates in other religious and spiritual traditions as well, albeit in various forms and expressions.

🚨JUST IN: Statement issued by the Yemeni Armed Forces: "In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful The Yemeni armed forces launched a large batch of drones during the past hours at several targets deep within the Zionist entity in occupied Palestine, and they reached their goals, thanks to God. The Yemeni Armed Forces continue to carry out their military operations in support of and victory for the oppression of the Palestinian people and in response to the calls and demands of the Yemeni people and all the peoples of the nation and until the Israeli aggression against our brothers in steadfast Gaza stops. The victory comes only from God." Source: The official spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree Qasim Saree Telegram Channel

A peculiar thing happened. Like many, I'm working on a new strategy. I started paper trading it Tuesday. Tuesday... I lost, Wednesday... I lost, Thursday... I lost, Friday... I made it all back and some. Encouraged, but not quite satisfied. Let's see if it all blows up next week.

I have read all the trading books out there, with my top ones being @markminervini's , Stan Weinstein's and WON. I have taken elements from all of them and others to come up with my own trading system. In 2023, I feel it all coming together finally after years of hard work.

@MarkRitchie_II Thanks Mark. I have a Q if you don't mind. For R/R, your risk is your stop. How do you anticipate the reward? My goal is to ba a 3R trader. How can I say, "yes, this stock can achieve 3R"? If the reward is always unknown, how do I know the trade is worth it to achieve my goal?

Anyone notice here what is ranked lowest? The irony is I get asked more about #7 than ANYTHING else and probably #1 the least. No one talks about losses, how to take them properly and how to structure trades thinking about risk first.

Matthew 7:6 moment IMO (and that of other career traders) here is a rank order of importance toward long term success 1. Risk control 2. Emotional management 3. Routine process 4. Sizing 5. Trade management 6. Trade identification 7. Your opinion

@MarkRitchie_II Hey Mark, thanks for answering that. I made that exact same trade. I mentioned in my journal that it's still worth watching. Here is the link for my history of this trade, a history of 2 days 😂. Just in case you want to check it out itlogic.org/category/imcr/

For a low risk trader. In summary it's my view you did nothing wrong and in this type of an environment we are seeing bids still go very dry at times which can mean swift shakeouts & sharp pullbacks. Until that changes you play small ball while looking for a tight re-entry.

Ok this is a great question and worthy of some comments. For starters let me be very clear on one point. The measure of a good trade is NOT the result. Just because you made or lost $ doesn't mean it was a good/bad play etc.
