He's a highly respected man, all over” Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt says, "The President has been made been aware of the proposal, and a response will come."

Trump's war crimes threats. The @scrowder excuse for war crimes is claiming "dual use" by assuming anything w/ potential military use is a "legitimate" target. That is not the law. After WW2, the world decided not to repeat it. (So quit citing fire-bombing Dresden & Tokyo as "precedents" for approval.) Post WW2, any target, like essential civilian infrastructure, must meet the threshold requirements of proportionality & military necessity. The Iran military operates in underground bases w/ their own power generators; hence attacks on above ground infrastructure will have minimal military gains. Taking out "all the bridges" and "all the power plants" to "end their civilization" is collective punishment of civilians and is the classic definition of a war crime.

Making a threat that you cannot follow through on without it being a war crime is not a smart strategy. Following through on a threat that would be a war crime is also not a smart strategy. Even if you believe Trump has no intention of following through on a post in which he says “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again”, the post is indefensible. Even operating at the most charitable basis that Trump is attempting to implement the “madman theory”.

If you're actual takeaway is that Trump is going to commit nuclear genocide against the Iranian people, well, you're a moron. You can disagree with the post, in fact the first line and the last line of the post are antithetical towards each other, so that's a valid criticism. But if you genuinely think he has his finger on the nuclear button, that's something else and you might need help. However, if I'm wrong and he decides to wipe out millions of civilians I will happily join you all in escorting him to The Hague.

@GracieNunyabiz @mattmurphyshow I get that. Human error happens, which is why war should always be the LAST option. But Trump not only hasnt shown remorse, he tried to lie about it and blame Iran. We also hit a kids sporting event as well, and again, no remorse. It is monstrous behavior.

I dig into that, Ben… Apparently a decade ago, that school was Iranian Soldier Barracks. The outdated info was fed into the AI. Human Error. As for the theocracy stuff, I thought Tucker was off the rails - but then after listening to Hegseth yesterday…. I had an IMMEDIATE VISCERAL reaction when he started framing the war in Biblical terms, sans military strategy. He definitely is no Schwartzcoff. 🤦‍♀️

Despite that, Iran came back to the negotiating table only to have their negotiators killed and their Country bombed. They once again came back to negotiate and the US/Israel bombed them again.
