I simply don’t think that texting is a format that requires immediate response. The fact that not responding to someone for a few hours (phone’s off, you’re busy, etc.) is seen as a social faux pas is completely ridiculous to me. I do not want people to have constant access to me

@B1irl @CorenLaVolpe I understand the argument. Doesn’t seem logical to lock 2 of the better mons introduced till the end of the game. That being with stadium now you have so much more to do and raising a ttar or houndoom after you already did everything doesn’t feel pointless for a solo player

If you watched the videos you'd see Smith's criticisms are all valid, he's a huge fan of Johto and approached it from a good faith game design perspective. He even led a project where all the major problems with the games are fixed while still trying to feel like a vanilla game, not a rom hack. Once you play Crystal Legacy, you won't wanna play the original version. It's a love letter. Growing up is realizing that most pokemon games are not very good and have at least one or two major issues affect the quality of the experience. Wanting them to be better and having the resources to improve them is pretty awesome, actually.

@CorenLaVolpe A lot of the gen 2 hate does stem from them just being built different. It feels like they wanted them to be slower passed and played over the course of several days rather than beating it in a few sittings. Gen 1 & 2 also feel incomplete without stadium, basically their postgame
