I have a half-done essay re. we NEED to nationalise the job hunt. Applications should be geo-locked, the govt should be able to perform spot checks, & there should be a UCAS style comms portal - a prospective employer shouldn't have your contact details in the first place

Half of those jobs were probably fake. Employers are posting job listings just for the intention of collecting data. It's hell out there for job seekers.

The SAT needs a mix of easy and hard questions so it can differentiate along the full spectrum of aptitude. If there were no easy questions, the stupid and the extremely stupid would get the same scores.

Insane to think this is a real SAT exam question. Attention spans are now so bad that some "reading passages" are just 24 WORDS. We are becoming an illiterate society. Why is nobody talking about this?

It’s so dumb that physicians need to get a medical license in every state. They all have different processes and takes forever.
Why doesn’t a startup create a national medical license? Physicians just pay an annual fee and can practice anywhere.

Marijuana today is much more potent than just ten or twenty years ago, leading to increased psychosis, anti-social behavior, and fatal car crashes. Arkansans don’t want more dangerous drugs obtained more easily. A change to marijuana’s drug classification is a step in the wrong direction.

whether it's Complex (C-PTSD) or not I believe has to do with whether the original event was one/a few distinct times or years-long.
I dont feel it's fair to say either one of these types is worse. They both suck. Just slightly different treatments. Both can be debilitating.

@charliesmirkley If we administered the SAT to 100% of homeschooled children the actual average score would be rock bottom.
Majority of homeschooled children are not really educated.
The few rich kids OR kids with parents who give a damn do not represent the entire system.

It's still below the average for public school kids, and I guarantee it's way below average for private schools.
So yes, selection bias is the reason.
