@shawngorham Definitely get a second estimate, and push for total loss. I would also try to pursue diminished value claim from the registered owner of the car. You never know what assets someone might have.

Remember our car accident 10+ weeks ago?
Guess what?
They didnt have insurance, shocker
No Habla English, one of the passengers (prob driver) disappeared from the scene.
They gave the police a fake insurance card
No accountability, no consequence
We were just sitting at a red light.
Wife had a concussion and back pain for 6 weeks
Our car, which MY insurance is paying $18,000 to fix (won't total it) has now lost half its value due to an accident
See this homie with the mask? He disappeared before the police showed up left a lady behind.
So we take a loss, my wife is hurt, my insurance will pay up but of course raise my rates to cover it and the other party just gets to walk away with a totaled cheap ass car.
Pisses me off - if I tried to pull that shit off I would prob be arrested.

First time I ever went on the record with a reporter even though I've been asked a million times. Feel like Amazon has gone too far this time and hope everyone sees it.

@GavinSweeneyy Many such cases this month. More inventory that was lost over a year ago popping into stranded than ever in my 10+ years on Amazon. Some stuff is 7 years old. Lots of it isn’t even our inventory, other sellers fnskus. Massive “cleanup” cash grab underway
English

@ClintFiore Huge in SoCal. They ride around ignoring raffiic lights. The parents are largely responsible, young teens aren’t affording these $3-6k bikes on their own. They’re lots of fun but kid who don’t even have a learners permit have no business riding a 40mph+ moto on major streets
English

My bro in suburban Denver says there's an absolute "plague" of kids on e-bikes and e-dirtbikes bombing around the streets and neighborhoods at high speeds.
7-14 year old boys equipped with capabilities they're not mature enough to handle safely, drive like banshees through yards and intersections and golf courses etc.
I don't see too many of those here in small town TX and when I do they don't seem to be terrorizing anyone.
Curious if this is happening where you live or not. Is this a big deal?

@builderanthro Plumber gets one good bite back at the dog and it’s even Steven’s.

Lego used to run Legoland.
It licensed the brand to another company which now runs it.
This has been celebrated as a genius business move which not only allows them to focus on their core business but generates lots of cash.
Maybe it was a good move in 2005, but today Lego is not only the biggest toy company in the world, but also has successful retail stores and produces its own movies.
The Legoland I went to was not only not on-brand.
It was magoo.
There were times where I honestly wasn’t sure if I had left Legoland, it was so not Lego.
And Legoland tried to sell me a $55 pizza which they didn’t even bake in the restaurant.
But I digress…
Licensed out Legoland might make money but it cheapens the brand and actually harms sales in a way that cannot be measured on any financial document, especially if you don’t know they license their brand out.
Lego is the biggest toy company in the world making $3 billion usd + in net profit per year.
Buy back your parks already.
It reminds me of Apple being too scared to release a car.
Companies in the West care too much about making money every single year.
That’s not the point of running a company and never was.
This “gotta raise prices and lower quality for shareholders” stuff is so whack.
“Fiduciary duty”?
What about the duty to your soul to do something great?
C’mon Lego, you’re better than this.
We all are.

Amazon raised ungating minimums to 100-400+ units.
Even my account with $80M+ in sales gets invoices rejected.
So I stopped using invoices altogether.
I put together a free guide with the step-by-step method I use now to get ungated without buying a single unit.
Comment "GUIDE" and I'll send it over.

@JonSnyderHQ @Molson_Hart Who is behind the NIMBYism movements that block construction of new housing? It’s largely boomers. They don’t care about corps buying up houses bc it makes their Zillow number go up.
English

@Molson_Hart I’m happy to be a millennial. Most millennials would never switch places with boomers. Our housing crisis is not all boomers fault. It’s democrats who made it hard to build new homes and democrats who refuse to end corporations buying up houses.
English

Interesting how many major problems in America can be attributed to boomers:
- unsustainable social security (for boomers)
- unsustainable Medicare (for boomers)
- house prices are not allowed to go down (for boomers)
- stock market cannot fall (for boomers)
- government pensions cannot be restructured (for boomers)
- covid lockdowns and vaccines (for boomers)
- don’t help with family creation, would disturb retirement (for boomers)
- higher tax rates on income than asset sales (for boomers)
Boomers dominate decision making at the corporations, universities, and government.
A bulge in population, combined with a selfish, impractical, and ignorant culture, cemented by ultra-high voter participation rates has created something that was theoretically impossible:
A tyranny in democracy with benefits (for boomers).
There’s something poetic about them inheriting the world’s best starting hand only to run the system into the ground and then be able to watch in burn in their twilight years.
But nah, they’ll probably just watch cable news instead.

@michaelpatron0 It's all laughable. A 99% margin product that sellers have 0 ability to audit for veracity and they're worried about processing fees? Maybe just keep printing money and don't stir the hornets nest.
English

@blake_fba What’s your oldest found item? I have a couple from 2019.
English

@thetoyinvestor Yea sadly they’re clawing back reimbursements at the same time. Had one discontinued ASIN that was $100 6-years ago, market is $600 now. Ill take it 🤣
English

@LAXecommerce Yup. Tons of 1/2/3 year old inventory popping up on my doorstep and in stranded. It's actually insane as a toy seller, so many old discontinued SKUs that literally have no sellers and are 5-10x on eBay what they used to be.
English

@michaelpatron0 @PJeffcock lol they’ll update their LLM to gaslight before they consider not shafting their “partners”

@w00tw00tw00t1 @Molson_Hart If they gave sellers more transparency on buyers and the ability to block, sellers could police it far better. Most sellers would cancel orders for buyers with abnormal return or replacement rates if they could. Amazon still profits from the fraud so they don’t care.
English

@Molson_Hart I think they just dont want to bother policing fraud anymore. I stumbled across three fraudsters last year using aged accounts to to run noship scams for at least 6 figures each. I could never get support to move on it By putting us all on dd+7 that type of fraud stops forever.
English

Amazon is holding $63k of our money against $7k in refunds and $0 in chargebacks when we've been selling on the platform for over 10 years and have $156,000 in inventory in their warehouses.
Is this about protecting Amazon or the interest they can make on holding the $63k?

Rainier@mtrainier2020
Amazon DD+7 is a payout policy introduced by Amazon that means sellers receive their funds 7 days after the confirmed delivery date (DD+7) of each order. Under this system: •Payment is triggered by delivery confirmation •Funds are held for 7 additional days •Sellers no longer receive disbursement immediately after shipment •Cash flow is directly tied to delivery timing •DD+7 effectively extends the working capital cycle for Amazon sellers. This policy start on March 23.
