The @RedSox just canned their manager and most of the coaching staff because the team was underperforming. That happens in every professional sport. The real question is why were they underperforming. They seem to have a talented roster but for whatever reason they have underperformed. Many @MLB teams have replaced traditional baseball men with mathematicians who supposedly have discovered a better way to be successful. We keep hearing about how the game has evolved and us #oldheads need to try and keep up. What seems apparent is that when the ALGORITHMS put in place don’t lead to success it’s never the fault of the people who created the ALGORITHM. It’s always the fault of the players and the coaches who are doing what they are told by the mathematicians. I wonder if anyone ever considered that trying to predict what humans will do by using a computer or a mathematical equation based on past performance is basically impossible? Humans are imperfect and unpredictable and trying to predict their future performance is incalculable. Andrew Martinez is a Certified HLP Swing coach who clearly knows nothing about hitting! Anyone can pay @Teacherman1986 $300 to get HLP Certified but it’s a useless Certification! It literally means nothing! I especially love how Andrew demonstrates rotating or shifting weight by over exaggerating pulling his front shoulder which no good coach teaches. This footage is shaking the internet. What was supposed to be a routine medical check at Marcy Correctional Facility turned into a tragedy that no one was meant to see. Here Is The Story: Robert Brooks, a 43 year old musician, was taken to the prison infirmary for an exam. Because of medical privacy, the officers believed there were no cameras in the room but they didn't realize their own body cams were still recording. The footage captured a brutal 10 minute assault while Brooks was handcuffed and compliant. He tragically passed away the next morning from his injuries. Since the video went public, over a dozen staff members have been fired, and several officers are now facing murder and manslaughter charges. A firing squad sounds like proper punishment, don’t you think so?
