A tradition unlike any other… the manager 4*100 relay. Tomorrow 11:15, as part of the LSU Invite managers from @LSUTrackField @RazorbackTF @AuburnTFXC @GopherCCTF will battle in for manager relays supremacy.

It’s been an incredibly emotional day for our teams. I’m thankful for all the wonderful people in our sport,,,, coaches, athletes, administrators, alumni who have reached out with great care and love.

In light of today’s Snowmageddon here in Baton Rouge, it’s appropriate to post the last time it snowed. @AlmightyChipp had a blast.

@MikeCunningham Technically it doesn’t require them to be on full grant. In reality they are receiving full aid in two sports for sure at the high levels. It means that anyone who is on aid is a head count. At the I-AA football level they offer 63 GIA with a head count of 85.

Another key change to the scholarship structure: All sports will be considered “equivalency sports,” meaning partial scholarships can be distributed to players. Football, basketball and other sports are currently considered “head-count sports,” which require players on scholarship to receive a full grant.

"The NCAA has finally moved on reform of roster sizes, opening the door for programs to offer more scholarships than before. Baseball will see a massive increase in scholarship / roster size, going from 11.7 scholarship slots to 34. Basketball will increase from 13 to 15. Just minding my business when this guy walks into the hotel lobby.

@MikeCunningham @qthetrackcoach We need to get past treating events “equally”. We treat them fairly. We do treat events differently. We take more 1500 runners to finals than 100 meters. We qualify combined events to ncaa differently than all others. Oly takes less field eventers in than runners.

But someone got two milers in so other milers were bumped. Just don't know why we treat relay teams different just because it's an event that uses more athletes. We don't treat multis different (like give them more points) and they do more events than any other athlete. Just a point to create discussion.

CONVERSATION STARTER: Why don't we allow more than one relay per team into a championship meet? We allow more than one athlete from a team in each event. hmmm....

The ONLY athlete in the nation (man or woman) to punch THREE individual-event tickets to the NCAA Outdoor Championships. 🫣🎟️ @morgannps_ does it all for the Tigers.
