@chadfelixg There’s a lot of us yanks down here now. We’re refugees.
English

@AnneDragSpank @ecksteinthejohn Thanks, that’s kind of you. Hope your SIL is doing well.
English

@Leezer221 @ecksteinthejohn Cool.
Then feel free to grow as many random organisms in your body as you like.
BTW...in all seriousness...cancer sucks. My SIL just went through it. I'm truly sorry you had to.
English

No child has ever been killed by abortion.
Sensurround (センサラウンド)@ShamashAran
Killing an unborn human life is the opposite of health care.
English

@AnneDragSpank @ecksteinthejohn Actually when I had cancer it was pretty scary, thanks for asking.
And guess what it did…it replicated to live. Then it was killed.
Not born, but died.
Trust the science baby
English

@Leezer221 @ecksteinthejohn Do you get this emotional about a tumor?
English

@AnneDragSpank @ecksteinthejohn Cells aren’t born but they can be killed.
English

@ecksteinthejohn You can't kill what was never born.
English

@RobProvince My late husband got a drunk tattoo at 18. It was a d*ck chasing a p*ssy.
That’s what normal, stupid, drunk young men do.
English

@XVanFleet @DeAngelisCorey Rebuilt by local communities. No state. No Feds.
English

@DeAngelisCorey This is why public schools must be dismantled and rebuilt from the ground up!
English

@TurtleTime911 @chadfelixg Depends on how big their towns are. That’s the thing about democratic elections. Sometimes the side you agree with wins, sometimes they lose.
It is illegal, unconstitutional for any legal process to be based on race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, etc.
English

@chadfelixg It isn’t about race as much as race & community overlap. The districts being eliminated are predominantly Black districts. If a town is predominantly Black, shouldn’t they have someone from their community represent them or should it be someone from outside the community?
English

@chadfelixg The thing no one is talking about is that throughout the South, blacks are far more integrated into rural/suburban areas, whereas in the north they tend to stay in cities.
They are represented in both, just as we are.
**unless you’re a Republican in Hellinois.
English

@EricTrump @RonFilipkowski Shut the fuck up you litigious twat. Everyone in this country hates your family, ESPECIALLY the people who voted for your pedo papa.
English

@Knubbeh @e_jokkonen @TheLaurenChen Who said I want to be altruistic?
My money is mine to do with as I please and leave what’s left to my children.
Give yours. But since you haven’t mentioned your altruism, I doubt it exists.
English

@e_jokkonen @Leezer221 @TheLaurenChen Altruism doesn't exist at the end of a gun.
Hope this helps your feeble mindset
Nothing is stopping you from donating your own time and money
English

@NancyBenefiel @Michael59302787 Go look at any urban school districts data.
The overwhelming majority of students aren’t being educated.
English

@Michael59302787 White kids couldn’t be sold. We ended child labour for all kids under 14 in 1938. We passed laws that kids had to stay,in school until 16. Trump’s Secretary of labor wants those laws repealed.
English

For the leftists who tell women like me to go sit down. Yes I do love to cook, I do love being with my children, I love being a wife.
Why am I running for office?
The Democratic establishment wants to infiltrate our homes, infest our children’s minds and instigate hate in our neighborhoods.
So yes, this mother, this wife is answering the call of a community that beckoned for me.
I’ll do my part and I pray others step up as well. We need each other.
But yes my husband is confident enough to allow me to take this risk, protect me while I do it and still show up as a present parent, husband and provider.
English

@e_jokkonen @TheLaurenChen The money I earn from my labor that the gov takes under threat of prison is 100% my business.
Give your money.
English

@Leezer221 @TheLaurenChen Yes, I understand.
They are too poor to afford essential medicine, so what you want to do is take away their car, to ensure that they can't get a job and still die poor.
Because it's all about you. Any help you pretended to give was really an investment into yourself.
English

@e_jokkonen @TheLaurenChen If your friend is costing you extra to house her but has a car you can use to help offset the cost, it’s called a trade.
English

@TheLaurenChen Because the rest of the world doesn't think greed is a virtue.
If I let my friend who has a substance abuse issue stay at my house, I don't tell her that, you've been here two days now, you have to start having sex with me or I kick you out.
We're just not assholes, you know?
English

@DirtyDan0909 @mattvanswol @grahamformaine All of those counties vote Republican, except St Clair and Champaign. That’s why they had to connect them to make it work.
Illinois is lost unfortunately.
English

@Leezer221 @mattvanswol @grahamformaine My small hometown is on the snake district as well! And you’re completely correct. Illinois has been screwing Republican voters in the state for a long time
English

Don't piss on our boots and tell us it's raining: under their bullshit legalese, the far-right Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act today.
Another disastrous decision brought to you by the court Susan Collins built, one terrible confirmation vote after another.
SCOTUSblog@SCOTUSblog
The 2nd opinion is in Louisiana v. Callais, on race-based discrimination and the Voting Rights Act. A 6-3 court held that Louisiana's map creating a 2nd majority-black district was "an unconstitutional racial gerrymander." Court didn't strike Section 2. supremecourt.gov/opinions/25pdf…
English

@MileiLens @RonDeSantis Society doesn’t have to lose their moral compass.
50.1% does
English

@RonDeSantis Still so odd that mainstream opinion in 🇺🇸 has embraced and defended race-based discrimination (left-wing racism) since the 1960s (VRA racial gerrymandering, Aff Action, DEI, equity, etc.).
Can only happen in a society that has lost its moral compass.
English

The SCOTUS ruling also invalidates the below provisions of the FL Constitution requiring the use of race in redistricting:
”…districts shall not be drawn with the intent or result of denying or abridging the equal opportunity of racial or language minorities to participate in the political process or to diminish their ability to elect representatives of their choice.”
Townhall.com@townhallcom
BREAKING: The Supreme Court just ruled the race-based map in Louisiana unconstitutional.
English

@mattvanswol @grahamformaine My small hometown is within the snake district. It is mostly rural farmland but they created it to capture the small cities of Champaign/urbana, Decatur, Springfield and east St. Louis so it would be a Dem district. Otherwise the rural Rep would outnumber them if drawn fairly.

English

So you're saying that sorting people based on race is...
...the right move and absolutely not racist????
You think this map, where race is the predominant factor driving these district lines... is OK?
That's what you're going with????
The civil rights movement was about getting government out of the business of classifying people by race.
This is the racism MLK marched against.
Jim Crow essentially said:
we'll sort you by race, against your interests.
The MODERN racial-gerrymander defense says:
we'll sort you by race, (supposedly) FOR your interests.
BOTH ARE RACIST.
