So happy for Bill White. Well deserved getting the Buck O’Neil Award for Lifetime Achievement from the National Baseball Hall of Fame. What a career: 7x Gold Glover…5x All-Star..’64 World Series champ…2 Top 10 MVP finishes. Bill was a long-time mainstay in the Yankees broadcast booth 1971-1988 and he was the National League president, 1989-94. And, he was the first full-time Black American to be a play-by-play man in MLB.
