Rebranding my X to align with the open letters, demonstrations and video interviews I am arranging in opposition to the Conversion Practices Bill. Let Gays Choose which types of therapy, worship and conversations we consent to. Nobody should be forced or silenced.

If the issues being debated were really of such immediacy and importance, allowing someone else to grift off an interview would be a trivial price to pay for a platform to raise them. The real reason is that these spaces are echo chambers free from the scrutiny Luke would face.

George was one of my closest friends, and had been for several years. The recent news of his tragic passing is devastating and will have a lasting impact. In politics, we joined the Conservative Party together when I was living in Portsmouth, attended countless events and rallies across the country, and he was the first person I went into the House of Commons with. We spent a lot of time exploring London together, debating topics, and going to watch live podcasts. In life, we came through many tough times together. We bonded over the same TV shows and films, encouraged each other, and shared many laughs. Our friendship wasn’t always easy, but we always had each other’s backs. He will be missed massively. Rest in peace ❤️

Mental health and sexual abuse should never be the subject of humour. With the exception of cases where an individual poses a clear threat to the physical safety of others, community support to overcome trauma is more appropriate than isolating and drugging people in distress.
