BEHOLD MY STAINED GLASS WINDOWS FOR MY HOME OFFICE! They're rescued from a Victorian or Edwardian era villa that was sadly demolished. Genuine leadlight Art Nouveau with a delicate lotus flower design. They now get a 2nd chance at life 😍

Hey @Qantas you have a walking lawsuit in the form of an unhinged, aggressive baggage handler lady spreading misinformation regarding the Trans-Tasman travel arrangement at one of your desks. Desperately needs retraining or let go. She demanded she 'must sight my physical permanent residency visa for New Zealand and a utility bill'. Despite knowing I had an Australian passport. Interestingly though, this happened yesterday at a rural Australian DOMESTIC airport. And she is, in fact, not a New Zealand border security officer but a baggage handler with emotional baggage of illogical power. And as I'm sure you know, no such thing as a physical visa permit for Australians exists for NZ. All whilst the actual check in lady did nothing to correct her whilst she (incorrectly) did her job for her. I'd love to pass on more information in DM's as long as you're not an AI bot. - Regards from New Zealand

@LiddlesTV @OldCroaky @Qantas @ALDIAustralia I was accused of stealing, and l asked them to call the police. Other customers whom l did not know even defended me. It was over a plastic bottle of honey, which was off. I left it at the checkout as l didn't want it. Bags searched nothing found. That brand is no longer stocked.

@LiddlesTV @Qantas Baggage handlers dont work in terminals so your story is rubbish

A few people are confused about how I encountered a baggage person: At some rural airports they don't have conveyer belts for the luggage so ground staff are usually behind the desk with check in staff. My check in lady was new it seemed and seemed a bit daunted by connecting international flights, and asked the baggage lady for help as the other check in lady was busy with another person. I hope @Qantas reply to my DM. My problem is so small compared to other things right now in the world though. 🙏

I couldn't see the logic either. I was talking so normally to her too 😭 and asked if it was a new thing as I travel this route every few months for years and she saw that Q as a challenge and as you said it, got on her ego to the point I was scared the baggage lady wouldnt let me board my flight.

@OldCroaky @LiddlesTV ... In your case it isn't applicable but I can't see the logic for airline staff to demand such things except for they just blindly follow something told to them once and passengers questioning them gets on their ego.

@OldCroaky @Qantas I sent them a DM with more info but it's after hours now so I wouldn't expect an update soon from them. I just want them to educate her so nobody else has to deal with unnecessary anxiety over her misinformation and power trip 😭😭😭

@River_ember @Qantas It's a very rural airport with no luggage conveyer belt. So they're always just next to the Qantas check in ladies.

I looked into it a few years ago - probably wrong because its been a while. I believe there is one if you're looking to become a citizen - it doesn't automatically expire when you leave NZ. The normal one is granted automatically (and virtually so you never see it) but expires on departure so your days in country count would go back to zero.
