I know this is old news, but it’s still unreal to me that the highest bidder (I’m assuming) for these less desireable ACC games is the CW, of all channels😭😭. You can’t make this stuff up

The Brendan Sorsby betting scandal really sucks. The "betting on your own team" thing is the headline, but I am hung up on something w/ wider ramifications: the incessant betting on balls and strikes from the stands at MLB games. This should not be so easy to do

Everything I studied about Reconstruction in college really made me lose faith in America, as a project. Southern Black Republicans took the poor, landless Southern white peasantry and gave them agency, schools, etc., and they just repaid them with Jim Crow.

Also on the Tigers' medical update: Jackson Jobe threw a bullpen session today. His first time down the slope as he rehabs back from Tommy John. His timetable is still a ways off. Not expected to be back in the competition until sometime after the All-Star break

This is terrible for America - foreign dictatorships owning 50% of the biggest American media companies.
But it's good for the Trump billionaires that profit from foreign takeovers of our news, so the FCC will no doubt greenlight it.

New: Paramount has asked the FCC to sign off on the Middle East investment in its Warners mega-deal. The company says in a filing viewed by THR that "indirect foreign ownership of equity interests in Paramount will be approximately 49.5 percent."

Texas Tech transfer QB Brendan Sorsby has checked into a residential treatment program for a gambling addiction. Sorsby, who transferred to Texas Tech on a reported $5M NIL deal, is under NCAA investigation for allegedly making thousands of bets via a gambling app, per @espn.
