So too is the fact that many autistic women are misdiagnosed as having psychological disorders. I see so many undiagnosed neurodiverse women who are struggling to function with atraumatic shoulder instability.

@SuzanneRastrick It is so concerning as an AHP, to hear that proposals for specific nurse pay scale are being considered. As a relatively smaller professional group I would be concerned that this would weaken the position of AHP at future pay reviews. This feels divisive.

@JuliaCa20602661 I’m trying to get a diagnosis for my daughter, school are saying she doesn’t exhibit asd traits in school despite me saying she’s high masking . I have no idea what to do now . She’s 14. I have asked for a copy of the criteria the school follow for a neuro divergent diagnosis

@JuliaCa20602661 Suspect 90 percent of kids wouldn’t meet it. This approach is advocating waiting until children and families have reached crisis point. 80 percent of children in unit psychiatric units are autistic. This approach devalues autistic people who have so much to give to society.

@adamdobson123 All the PAD exercise interventions I am aware of are under umbrella of vascular services (secondary care) and are nurse led.

My understanding is that exercise provision is quite sparse.

Any physiotherapists on here run a rehabilitation/exercise programme for folks with symptomatic PAD? Quite uncommon. Perhaps absorbed into cardiac rehab ? Love to chat to you. 😊
