@LiquidityCap @Layemie001 Like in between the rafters or the attic floor? Attics are tricky because you want to prevent heat loss without heating up your roof. A warm roof during the winter with several snowfalls will cause a lot of damage due to ice damming.

If the spray is an open cell foam and is able to trap air then it's probably just as good as fiberglass but if you ever had to fish a wire down that wall, good luck. The optimum solution is to use a thin coat of spray foam directly to the inside of any outside wall to seal any air leaks and then back it up with fiberglass insulation.

If it's closed cell then it's bad. It's the air that fiberglass traps in the layers that actually does the insulating. A solid piece of form will get as cold as the outside wall it is touching because of the thermal bridge it creates. The air layers in fiberglass minimize thermal bridging.
