We’re approaching the end of 2025… and it’s time for me to take stock of mass adoption. The meme coin meta is slowly fading away; we’ve moved on to prediction markets, social-fi and info-fi… the market is hanging by a thread, and the atmosphere has been rather strange for several weeks now. Everyone’s waiting for either a big dump or a big pump, and uncertainty is running high. The market is still young and extremely volatile. In 2025, we’ve seen the rise of many prediction markets (driving some people crazy 😅). dApp that quantify and value X accounts… others that push users into farming (when, in fact, it’s the farmers themselves who are being farmed ^^). The early-year Web3 gaming hype feels far away now, and many projects haven’t survived. Others have partnered with AAA licenses (on the tech side) but can’t even manage to add Rabby Wallet as a staking connection option… and now, here we are back to the good old airdrop meta to close out the year. This week, I helped my nephew who wanted to “farm” Base, an ecosystem I’ve been following for over two years now and I realized that even for me, someone who’s been in Web3 for over five years, it’s far from simple. Tons of different websites, sometimes unclear explanations, complicated dApp connections, inconsistencies and among all that, scam sites lurking around. That’s when I really realized (objectively) the value that @AbstractChain brings with its Portal. Of course, nothing is perfect, and the green blockchain has also suffered a recent slowdown, like everyone else in different ways. While other ecosystems multiply dApps with no link between them, or projects that appear and disappear… Abstract has been the easiest one to use to onboard “normies.” Just an email address, a portal, and everything else happens seamlessly. Base, which was a revolution for me after paying $15 transaction fees on ETH and surely one of the biggest blockchains along with Solana capable of enabling mass onboarding still shows that there’s a lot of work left to do. Where Abstract manages to take a bit of the best of both of those blockchains, the question remains about the future of Web3. While more than half the people in the space are hoping to “make it,” few blockchains or ecosystems manage to survive over time. Yet Abstract still stands out to me as one of the biggest promises right now under-farmed at the moment, with a team that’s built a strong community and surrounded itself with skilled people, both in development, security, and community management. Even though the hardest part is still ahead, the foundations seem solid: Session Keys, Sponsoring Fees, Culture, Innovation… Even if Abstract is still far from giants like Solana or Base, we tend to forget that the blockchain is barely over six months old. We often forget that blockchain is a tool capable of revolutionizing so many things, a technology that can democratize countless protocols, but also serve as a medium of entertainment that brings people from all walks of life together. What once seemed like a beautiful promise has turned into a farming tool. Where blockchain once highlighted ART through NFTs and creative projects, now people just shout, “What’s the utility of NFTs?” Convictions are fading, doubts are growing but blockchain is just a tool; it merely reflects what we make of it. If you’re still not a @Persona_Journey holder… honestly, I don’t get it. In 2025, I won a WL Mint for @moriusa_STPR thanks to a giveaway in the Persona Discord (obviously, that’s one of the perks when you’re a holder). The profit from that mint literally paid back the cost of my two Personas, even though the UNA claims throughout the year had already covered the price of one. Looking back, joining Persona was probably one of the best moves I’ve made in Web3. I invested around $500 and have already seen a 5x return in just a year, seriously, what other NFT collection can offer that? (Even though, let’s be real, Persona is way more than just an NFT collection.) It’s clearly one of the best Web3 communities out there: 🔸top-tier art, 🔸constantly evolving incentives, 🔸two tokens, 🔸games, contests, alpha drops, AI 🔸a community filled with some of the most influential people in Web3... Persona is literally everywhere, To me, Persona is the foundation of what a real Web3 community should be. Honestly, I just want to say thank you to them 🙏. How many projects, collections, or communities you’re a holder of have ever given you that kind of feeling? Damn… one of the best.
