@Camp4 Fascinating but I'd love to see it tested on a narrow, windy, rural road with narrow passing places in England during harvest season or in the fog and drizzle with a horse on the lane.
That's a bigger challenge.

We did a family road trip to Taos this week.
5 hours each way.
Our Model Y did 100% of the driving. Zero interventions.
One 12-min stop each way to charge during a bathroom break.
Two 25-min charges in Taos while shopping.
$57 total.
Three things:
1) Most people don’t know that self-driving is solved. It’s mind-blowing and alleviates a surprising amount of mental load. When the supervision requirement is removed, it will be an even bigger game-changer.
2) Once you drive a Tesla, all other cars feel like relics from a bygone era. There are lots of subtle features that you don’t notice until you drive a regular car again.
3) Tesla is light years ahead of all other automakers and that gap will only grow because no other car company can design from first principles.

That’s nonsense because many of the people who get what he calls welfare do in fact Work. And much of this total is paid to pensioners in return for their national insurance and they would certainly not consider it welfare. But it’s fake statistics like these that can influence peoples beliefs.

The Government will collect £331bn in income tax this year, and spend £333bn on welfare. In other words, we now spend more on people not working than we raise from those who do. And the cost? Debt per person has risen from £11.5k in 2000 (inflation adjusted) to over £41k today.

@BenGrahamUK @LookingBack22 Agreed, I think they took loans out for new car parks. I have purchased a 12 month ticket which is due to expire. Not risking now they are in administration so off to another parking provider.

NCP has gone into administration.
They’ve been running car parks since 1931, and somehow ended up £305m in debt.
Surely the maintenance for a car park is simple: ticket machines, barriers, lights, and occasional cleaning.
How can a business model literally based on people paying to park go bankrupt?

Client was a VP at a large company. 62 years old. Was going to work until 65. January: called into HR. Severance package. Sign by Friday. He called me that afternoon. "I think I just got retired." Thanks to the folks who have raised issues with Royal Mail with me.
I was down at the sorting office in Knutton today and had the chance to put those concerns to the RM management team.
