@mcsquared34 Real socialism doesn't use other people money. It hands the means of production to the workers. How this is done differs system to system, but the best way imo is to let workers democratically control their workplace through coops.

@Rudy78417576 @mcsquared34 The government is a capitalist state that protects capitalist interests such as private property. Capitalism can not and never has functioned without a state to enforce the rules of capital.

@PaulRS123 @mcsquared34 Based on the available data, cooperatives (co-ops) appear to go bankrupt or fail at significantly lower rates than traditional private businesses. The data from multiple countries consistently shows that co-ops have a higher survival rate.

@LyonPryde92 @mcsquared34 If workers can vote out consultants (saving money), they will and take that money for themselves. Yes, I'm misanthropic. But, is voting yourselves raises that would bankrupt a company a realistic scenario? When it's bankrupt, move on to another company.

@PaulRS123 @mcsquared34 You mean people voted to make their shitty existence better. Wow! that's not greed. Thats wanting the bare minimum to make their existence tolerable

@LyonPryde92 @mcsquared34 If the workers were in control, they'd all vote themselves raises until the company is bankrupt. Billionaires are greedy. So are the poor. Mamdani was elected for his promises: free childcare, free buses, cheaper rent, cheaper food,... Many people are short-term thinkers.

@robvanhoff @DaveMacfadyen @BladeoftheS What a dumb argument full of logical fallacies. Musk has never invented anything. Most billionaires never invent anything. Nice pivot though.

People don't understand Marx's theory of Labour so here it is. In short, there should be no profit for people who don't do any work. It should all be split among the workers. You would think Capitalists would love that. But of course they hate it.

@PaulRS123 @mcsquared34 No it's not a realistic scenario. It's a scenario you made up in your head. You're explaining what capitalists often do to businesses. You don't know that is what workers will do, And they won't because its illogical and dumb af. Your disdain for workers is showing.

@PaulRS123 @mcsquared34 Workers controlling the means of production doesn't mean that every worker will make every decision. They will still hire people to make the decisions or vote them Into place. But workers can vote them out at anytime.

@LyonPryde92 @mcsquared34 Yes, there are business consultants - experts with business degrees. That's WHY workers shouldn't control production. The C-Suite and consultants should.

@BladeoftheS Oh we understand it alright, and are rightly fucking terrified of its implementation, because in EVERY case where it’s been tried, litteral millions of people died.

@LyonPryde92 @RandomPerson242 @mcsquared34 Any reliable business aims to make money. That's why EU healthcare is so unreliable & the service is so bad. You aren't the one paying directly so they have insufficient incentive to make you satisfied. LOL at you thinking that EU (public) healthcare trumps Brazilian private.

@retardinho66 @RandomPerson242 @mcsquared34 Healthcare shouldn't be a business model for profit. The EU isn't one place with one system. You're trying to compare multiple systems to one system. This is a logical fallacy. Brazil's private Healthcare is dog shit.

@PaulRS123 @mcsquared34 Workers can easily hire people with business degrees to be decision makers.

@LyonPryde92 @mcsquared34 Yes, there are unintended bankruptcies. But I'd trust the C-suite decisions over staff level employees. In addition to traditional businesses going bankrupt, co-ops go bankrupt, too.

@TypeCategorySet @mcsquared34 Give them incentives to get a job such as a home loan guarantee if they find full time employment, or a guarantee that their benefits wont expire for a certain amount of time after they find a job. Make part of it going to skill classes in order to get the housing.

@LyonPryde92 @mcsquared34 It has been my experience that the people living on government handouts become afraid to even look for a job, as they are worried about jeopardizing their current subsidy. I think those incentives should change to motivate people to work (if they can).

@TypeCategorySet @mcsquared34 It is a multi step process that needs to include ending private equity firms ability to buy residential property along with job programs and some form of public housing to ensure everyone is housed. I'm cool with there being limitations and regulations to stop abuse.

@LyonPryde92 @mcsquared34 Ok, so we agree people who need housing should have it. Where I think you and I differ is in that I don't think more is the answer. I think dialing down the rampant fraud in these systems would make more room for those with real needs.

@TypeCategorySet @mcsquared34 I believe shelter is a basic human right like food and water. Studies show that meeting people's basic needs leads them to being more productive members of society. Some will always abuse the system, but i focus on those with excess that abuse the system. Not those with nothing.

@LyonPryde92 @mcsquared34 You know what. I'm going to back up here and dial the douche down. I still believe this can be a productive conversation. Seriously, do you believe more public housing will help society as a whole? Believe it or not, I am usually a pretty nice guy, and I actually do give af.

Bahahahaha! You ran over to Gemini hoping to find cover. You might want to take that up with The Atlantic. Kind of hard to argue against such when the most left-wing rag on the planet called it out. What makes this so hilarious is Lubow was trying to sell the story under an alias for $1 million. Even more obvious...there is ZERO proof that a Katie Johnson with ties to Trump or Epstein ever existed. As is always the case with the party of pedophiles, it was a story made from whole cloth in an attempt to both profit and hopefully, cause political damage to Trump. Even The Atlantic recognized this story as bull 💩.
