The volume is what makes everything else so incredible: 121.5 Offensive Rating (10th All-Time) 88.8% from the Line (13th All-Time) 3.5 Box Plus/Minus (51st All-Time) 17.6 WS per 48 (56th All-Time) Above all, the third highest true shooting percentage by a guard in NBA history.

@podoffame @bball_ref Strictly volume based. He sports a cool 18.4 career PER, making Reggie an above-average player, not remotely a great one. His whole career is a house of cards built on Spike Lee's hatred of him.

@JustEsBaraheni I mean he does initiate the contact on many calls, a thing many guys have started to exploit. He is far from the worst at it (Brunson is worse for example) but when you get to his status, he's under a microscope more. Disliking shai is fine as long as you're consistent

In all honesty, I do not and will not ever understand anyone who likes basketball, but doesn’t enjoy watching SGA hoop. Genuinely one of the most gifted creators ever.

@HPbasketball Consistency>>>> # of high scoring games. Much more in favor of the Kareem, LeBron, Oscar type scorers than say the Hardens, Kobes, Baylor's of the world

For evaluating a scorer, do you care how many 40+ or 50+ games they have or just about the consistency and efficiency? (Research for "Shai is the best scorer since...")

When did “true shooting %” become the end all barometer of greatness in the NBA? 🤨

Who the 3rd greatest SG in NBA history right now is between Harden and Wade but if Harden gets a ring this season that debate would be over. Harden would be the clear 3rd greatest SG ever.

@johny_j4 @TacosSportsbook @Carsobi It also assumes players will stay at the same efficiency as they were if relegated to the same amount of possessions. Which is the opposite of the truth.

@johny_j4 @TacosSportsbook @Carsobi Its biased towards slower paced players. Doesnt account for efficiency. Typically- faster paced means taking the first look. The % is usually worse but the thought is more looks is better. Also causes more fatigue, both game to game and season by season.

@DevonBirdsong Im not troubled. More perspectives are always good. I just want you to understand how flawed yours is. That doesnt mean my criteria isnt flawed, im sure it probably is in some way. I just hope you're consistent and Bill Russell is your 🐐

@MSRTaco Football is an entirely different animal, especially on the defensive side. You’d be better off arguing basketball. If my criteria troubles you, just think of it as me not conforming to how you think I should think.

I'd rank the top 10 PGs: 1. Oscar Robertson 2. Magic 3. Curry 4. Frazier 5. Isiah Thomas 6. West 7. Kidd 8. Stockton 9. Paul 10. Nash (You're not making my top 5 without a title) In my book, Paul and Stockton are mirror images. The best PGs without a title.
Jim Miloch@podoffame

I have seen everything from people saying Chris Paul is the 3rd greatest PG of all-time to Paul not being in the top 10. It really depends on who you consider to be a PG. I have him 9th, but if you take away Curry, West, and Oscar, as they are not "traditional" PGs, i have him 6th. 1. Magic 2. Curry 3. West 4. Oscar 5. Cousy 6. Frazier 7. Thomas 8. Stockton 9. Paul 10. Kidd

@DevonBirdsong That was not the point. Your order isnt the problem, your criteria is. Look at Luke Kuechly, his best college season his team won 4 game. Yet he was the best LB in CFB that year. By your logic, that wouldnt be possible due to them being under .500. Yet you think thats sane. Wild

None of the players on this list played a B+ game. You don’t get to be top 10 of your position at B+ A lot of the players on this list played as good/better than Paul in the finals. Some of them lost, some of them won. Either way, it’s my list. It’s what I think. If you don’t like it, make your own.

Too much emphasis on winning a Super Bowl which is a team accomplishment not an individual one. HOFers Gayle Sayers and Dan Marino has never won championship while Brad Johnson & Trent Dilfer were on championship teams.🏆 It doesn’t determine the greatest of the player.
joelind@joelind

@SolomonsWisdom @Bengals @BleavNetwork @FanDuelSN_CIN Kenny Anderson had better numbers than Dan Fouts. I think Dan Fouts has expressed his support of Ken Anderson. What about Willie Anderson? Is this because they played for the Bengals?
