Oh my god I was fucking right again

Theory: When you translate Reze's song, you get the whole plot of part 2 #chainsawman
English

@adelheidx333 You didn't get used to it, simple as. People who watched English dubbed anime will say the same thing about japanese. I just watched a few chinese movies and got used to it. Same thing with Korean.
English

This is only because Chinese language is so unpleasant to listen to compared to Japanese

@Gyr0_Zeppeli0 @Bapoman @wanderjegson them ending up together is not something I can give you answer to
English

@Magicfist__ @Bapoman @wanderjegson So they are bound to end up together later since they already have strong feelings for each other?
English

@PajaroChocolate @Wellthought7 The existence of Chainsaw Man's power is what motivates characters like Makima and Yoru to go as far as they did to mold their perfect worlds. It's as if the MacGuffin gained consciousness and went "nah, none of you get to have me now"
English

@Magicfist__ @Wellthought7 Maybe I'm wrong here but think about drug addicts, if the drug they are hooked up to didn't existe you think they would have lived a normal live or do you think they would just be addicted to something else?
English

@Magicfist__ @Wellthought7 ...okay but like. why is she *nayuta* though. shouldn't we be seeing basically a less-evil makima if all the other deaths got snapped back

I love that the moment we initially viewed as Denji's climactic self-actualization gets recontextualized as the nail in the coffin for him--intrinsically tying his identity to Chainsaw Man. His actual moment of self-actualization is only made aware to us at the end.

@CouchPotato232 and its framed as the typical shounen character's "final form", the type of hero he didn't need to be
English

@Bapoman @wanderjegson the feelings still carry on, it's like Alice in Borderlands ending
English

@wanderjegson One of the big differences in the endings is that emporio remembers what happened. The events stay with them into the new world and have meaning. If Denji or even Asa got to keep their memories then the ending would be better. Not amazing but at least better.
English

@massive_titty_ @Stephen_Fremel @CerosTV Almost every single obstacle that Denji faces in csm is because of his identity as csm. Pochita literallly knows this and felt guilty enough that he sacrifices himself.
Pochita knows that being as strong as CSM means you even be able to enjoy a simple hug.
English

@Stephen_Fremel @CerosTV Pochita gave Denji a chance at a good life already, actually more than enough of a chance, it was handed to him on a silver platter. part 2 ended with saying that Denji actually doesn't want a good life and is happier in a shitty mundane one, despite the previous 232 chapters.

@Squidy40 @fucklitmas @Slime5ea5on @monosou_ The way I see it, it is as much Pochita's fault as it is Denji's. So I'm not entirely opposed to the idea that Pochita made the decision. I don't see any satisfying way for Denji to decide to leave Pochita. But Pochita sacrificing himself for Denji's sake? That's in-character
English

@Squidy40 @fucklitmas @Slime5ea5on @monosou_ Almost every single obstacle that is presented is because he is Chainsaw Man. His "suffering" is almost tied entirely to being CSM. Pochita probably feels guilty too, because he knows exactly what it's like to be so powerful that you can't even enjoy a simple hug.
English

I know a lot of people are complaining about Asa not saving herself and I get it but... the point was it was never Asa's fault. She never had to save herself. This page feels representative of the truth that Asa's life actively got worse being around Denji/CSM lmfao

#csm232 saving asa(‘s life from going downhill) by letting go of chainsaw man or something
English

@monosou_ My question is, why wasn't Denji the one to make to make the decision to let go of Chainsaw Man? Why cheapen the story by taking his last chance to do the right thing and basically saying "oh this nigga is too dumb to make a good decision, we gotta try again."
English

@DeuceTheUchiha Nah, I think he can still lowk box. His mindset is probably still crazy and that's all you need
English

So tired of people who demand that stories address every single detail like a checklist rather than tell a story
Jdawg@467Doggo
So in the chainsawman ending -Reze is still getting tortured in some lab in russia -aki is alive and well -kobeni probably a wage slave -angel devil is chilling with his girl in his island -santa claus still roams free -yoshida is sadly alive
English

I read the manga and this part genuinely fucking killed me dude she fucked the humanzee

@blkcatgirlsplz This denji never even knew pochita so nothing was lost, how do you not understand this
English

"rewarded" and he ends up getting eaten alive and losing his best friend so he can live a normal life and not be made to make those decisions again because he is an addict without a support system
CAIFEE.@QyfieK
proceeds to make the wrong choice again and gets rewarded for it this time..?
