random thought but most “vault” products in DeFi still feel pretty one dimensional you deposit, you earn, and that’s it… no real control over how capital is actually being deployed or what’s happening under the hood what @makinafi does differently is that it’s not just a vault, it’s more like a whole execution layer where strategies are actually being run across chains with defined risk rules the Machines are basically containers for those strategies, so you’re not just chasing yield, you’re allocating into something that’s actively managed and structured

Still 59% APR on DUSD Security Module of Makina. My guess is that this takes at least another 3 weeks to settle down in something like 10% APR. Plenty of time to eat well with this one!

Hey @stacy_muur, been seeing this table graphic pop off every now and then but it's not accurate, this only depicts day1 numbers with zero follow up on how the projects handled the incidents afterwards. At the very least for@makinafi the recovered funds amount to 89% already back in affected users' wallets. There's also an upcoming plan to make the remaining users whole in the works Audits don't necessarily mean guaranteed safety but post incident handling can certainly give a better picture than these clickbait numbers that aren't up to date, hope you'll consider checking the accuracy of these graphics going forward 🙏

I checked the public audit trail behind some of the biggest DeFi exploits this year. Some of the main audit firms that showed up ↓ > Resolv → @MixBytes, @PashovAuditGrp, @pessimistic_io > Venus Protocol → @OpenZeppelin, @peckshield, @Quantstamp > Moonwell → @HalbornSecurity > Makina → @chain_security, @sigp_io, @osec_io > CrossCurve → @MixBytes, @SmartStateTech, @hexensio > Aperture Finance → @VeridiseInc, @SecurityOak, @SolidifiedHQ These protocols had public audit coverage and still got exploited. Audited ≠ safe. They just lower risk.
