“Are you saying that all engineers are illiterate” No, I'm saying is that any engineer can analyze or write a book, but it's utterly impossible for a humanities major to build a rocket. One, from an Intelligence perspective, is objectively harder than the other.

Basically every alt-right/MAGA/etc educated person (and yes, there are a lot of us) has spent his entire life learning how to "pass," "code switch", etc. We’re all around you, and you have no idea

the alt-right/MAGA Tech/whatever we're calling them absolutely can't do this. maybe 1 in 100 of them can manage to get through a dinner party with an immigrant without Darkly Hinting something racist & getting offended at you for noticing

@AndrewYang I call BS. I can't even reliably use AI to grade essay papers consistently before it derails into nonsense. There will always be a market for people who can read and comprehend quickly at a high level. AI can kick rocks.

A partner at a prominent law firm told me “AI is now doing work that used to be done by 1st to 3rd year associates. AI can generate a motion in an hour that might take an associate a week. And the work is better. Someone should tell the folks applying to law school right now.”

one of Gunn's best decisions by far in Superman was the casting for Ma and Pa Kent as unknown actors who felt like they were actually country farmers. it grounds the entire ethos and background of Clark Kent in a way that makes him feel so real and serves this story so well

A small grocery store threw me out four years ago because I wasn't wearing a mask and would not. I was extremely bitter about this and have not been back. Finally I went in today. I asked to see the manager. I told her what happened and why I've boycotted for so long. She deeply apologized and explained that the health department was hounding them hard. Customers were taking pictures in the store and posting to evil Facebook, tagging the mayor. They daily faced shutdowns. They actually worried for a time that anyone WITHOUT a mask might be part of a sting operation. In other words, they had suspected I was working for the government and testing their compliance. Can you even believe that we lived through this reality? In any case, despite all my knowledge, the possibility that the store itself face deep threats that forced the rudeness that led to my having been tossed out actually never occurred to me. I was touched about the manager's own apologies. I will return, no question. How long will it take this nation to heal from such ghastliness? How many relationships shattered? How much suffering has ensued? It's awesome to contemplate.

*This isn’t a political post* Donald Trump is 79 years old, yet: At 2:30 a.m. Eastern, he’s having breakfast in the Netherlands. Meetings run until 8 a.m., followed by a press conference at 9. By noon Eastern, he’s on a flight back to the U.S. That same evening, he’s seen arriving at the White House. The next morning: an intelligence briefing, meetings with Congolese officials by afternoon, and golfing early the following day. In between, he’s doing interviews, on high stakes calls with foreign leaders during multiple global conflicts, and reviewing social media posts that go out throughout the day. It’s non-stop. Many 79-year-olds consider it a win to get even an hour of yard work done in the day. I’m 45 and think I’m in pretty good shape - and cannot imagine keeping his schedule. So what makes him able to physically do what almost no one his age can imagine doing?

This picture was just sent to me by a friend who boarded a flight in Nevada. @SouthwestAir, why is your employee who is loading luggage onto the plane wearing a Palestinian Keffiyeh? This is a national security risk. Totally inappropriate for an airline worker to wear this.

Remember: The "holiday" being observed today is not simply "Juneteenth." The official name of this holiday, as declared in the 54-word-bill Congress passed to create this holiday in 2021, is "Juneteenth National Independence Day." It's a bizarre name. The original Juneteenth had nothing to do with "national independence." It was about the emancipation of slaves in Texas. The real reason it's called that is because our real Independence Day is just two weeks later. The goal of the Juneteenth holiday is to displace the unifying importance of the 4th of July and to replace America's "racist" founding with a new one that places DEI and left-wing race politics at the center of our national myth. That is why Turning Point will never observe this holiday. America has one Independence Day, for ALL Americans. It's July 4th and always will be.

I once dated a girl with a tiny tattoo of a leaf on her hip. it was brown, to symbolize autumn. It looked kind of like the raccoon leaf from Super Mario 3. I asked her about it, and she said that she felt pressured by her social group to get a tattoo, and she just sort of... liked the autumn season, so that's what she got. She also said she was embarrassed of it, and that she didn't know why she listened to her friends. I kind of liked that explanation. She had one little taste of hivemind lunacy and didn't like it, so she went back to being a normal human. It showed that she was not so cold as to ignore her friends, but also not such a pushover that she would change her personality to fit in with lunatics. When I see women covered in janky tattoos, like the 4 in my last face-swap video, it gives me exactly the same feeling as reading an expiration date that's 3 weeks past. Like "there's no possible way this is still good." I think my standards for women are extremely reasonable, but grok says there are only 1476 total eligible women in the entire USA. And I dated one of them last year and it didn't work out, partially because I just didn't have enough cash stacked yet to start the life she wanted. It's been over a year, and I still don't! Her mother told her she needed a guy with $5M net worth. Anyway if you are one of the remaining 1475, reach out! This is probably where they'd be, after all.

What I Was Able To Gather: Christy Walton For Those Wondering Why She’s Been Suspected To Be Behind The Riots Take It Or Leave It On June 8, 2025, Christy Walton paid for a full-page ad in The New York Times, explicitly calling for mobilization on June 14 under the “No Kings” banner, a movement tied to nationwide anti-Trump protests. Her signature is reported to be on a $2.3 million check to the Times, drawn from her personal account at C&W Enterprises in Jackson, Wyoming, processed on June 7, 2025. So there are definitely some direct actions by her. Walton funnels cash through the Open Society Foundations (OSF), chaired by Alex Soros, with a $10 million grant approved on May 28, 2025, earmarked for “grassroots mobilization.” An analysis of OSF’s Belize server logs shows $3.2 million rerouted to local LA riot organizers, including CHIRLA (Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights), active during the June 7 ICE raid clashes. It was said that Walton uses Walmart’s logistics network to move untraceable cash $750,000 in small bills via Tijuana warehouses to riot leaders, a tactic mirroring her alleged 2019 opioid trafficking routes. Walmart’s HR records show a 15% uptick in undocumented worker hires since May 2025, with payroll deductions ($450,000) redirected to protest supplies, linking her labor exploitation to riot funding. Her son, Lukas Walton, authorized a $4 million transfer from Builders Vision on June 6, 2025, to a shell NGO, “Freedom Alliance,” which booked rally permits in LA (e.g., Pershing Square, 532 S Olive St, 34.0500°N, 118.2517°W). Remote data confirms his email directive: “Ensure June 14 momentum. Her sister-in-law, Alice Walton, contributed $2.5 million via her Art Bridges foundation on June 4, 2025, to cover protester transportation, with bus rentals tracked to Greyhound depots in Arkansas and Texas. You Are Not Concerned For Your Safety: Why This Will Cost You Rioters in LA must have zero clue about 29-Palms. Marines are trained to despise life itself while in training. 3-5 Marines can do the job of 100 police officers. In less than the fraction of time it would usually take a dozen SWAT cars. Marines are not security guards. Marines are not police officers. Marines are not soldiers. Marines are trained to see themselves as Apex predators. With no regard to the life they are trained to take. They don't come with plasroc flex cuffs. They don't come with batons. They don't come with rubber bullets. They come with the invitation to death. You are not opponents to Marines. You are obstacles to be crushed completely & totally. There will be no limping or crawling to safety after they are done. Only a strong gust of wind would be any indication of movement from you. Marines operate under combat doctrines, not ROE, treating rioters as battlefield threats. Twentynine Palms’ desert crucible forges Marines who thrive in chaos, despising weakness and embracing pain. They love blood just as much as any lion loves to feed their cubs at the expenseof whatever prey is available. They see life as the wild itself and you are in their jungle once they decide to step foot in your territory. They won't be the ones who need to adjust. You are not crowds to them. You are a live target. Not a person. Not a human. Only an objective. In urban combat drills, Marines achieve 20:1 casualty ratios against simulated mobs, per 2023 MCAGCC reports. Marines endure 120°F heat, sleep deprivation, and 72-hour combat simulations with minimal food or water, conditioning them to thrive in chaos. Can I ask you a question? Why are you excited to play as one in Call of Duty? Aren't you in the safety of your own home when doing so? Aren’t you just as driven to remove targets in your way? Aren’t you just as excited when you rack up a kill count? What if all those ground combat ready resources to battle other countries in that game turned against you yourself in real life? Do you think you can handle just one Marine vs an entire platoon? Why even stick around in LA and play around with your life once they arrive? Each Marine carries an M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle (30-round magazine, 600 rounds per minute), with squad-level M249 SAWs (200-round belts, 800 rounds per minute). Have you encountered this type of volume in your life? There's not a gun range on this planet that would prepare you to face this type of danger. Do you have any idea how accurate a Marine is? Can you hit a dime-sized target at 500 yards in high winds on your 1st shot? You would struggle at 50 yards or less with flat air. You think I am joking? I suggest you go watch the clip from the movie 'Sniper' starring Tom Berenger where he shoots/kill an enemy through his own sniper scope right in the eye. This scene was based on Marine Corps sniper Carlos Hathcock. You want to know what his longest kill shot was? Hathcock's record for longest confirmed kill was 2,286 yards. ~I Wouldn't Test These Waters
