Gas is still very affordable. Groceries are affordable. Housing is perfectly fine. Stop wasting money on junk food and stick to what you need and you'll have plenty left over. Don't live outside your means and housing is easily attainable as well. Maybe economics/finance should be required before people graduate high school? Here’s the main problem Illinois has ever passing any kind of Mega-projects bill. 👉Soldier Field To even get the bill to the floor for a vote, 60% of Chicago’s state representatives would have to approve. Currently, there’s virtually zero support. Here’s why. The city still owes its share of the 2003 stadium renovations at around $400 million. Chicago’s long-term cost over the full bond repayment schedule will exceed $1 Billion and they refuse to be stuck with that bill. To sign off on any bill allowing the Bears to leave, Chicago officials have dig in stating they would require either: - The Chicago Bears to pay off that debt. - The state to assume the full debt. This is truly an impasse. The Bears have made it clear that paying the City’s share is not a discussion. The down-state officials have refused to even consider taking on that debt. Yet, Chicago still believes that they can sway the Chicago Bears to remain in Soldier Field. Other obstacles remain to even get such a bill passed in Illinois, but Soldier Field will likely, in the end, actually force the Bears to leave the state. Hammond, Indiana is the likely location. #DaBears
