Haha thank you for proving my point.
Clearlake got the biggest fine in the history of UEFA for cheating with the financials in 2023 and 2024 while buying players like Enzo, Caicedo, Palmer amongst others. So the Conference league and the Cwc was won by a squad assembled by cheating.
Chelsea haven’t won a trophy without cheating since 2007.

I think it is the latter. I think the gap in finances isn’t as big as it once was, with access to data improving, the gap is becoming smaller, and smaller.
That being said, a team like Chelsea have just been driven into the ground by poor hierarchy and clueless recruitment.

Even the people who are generally pro-VAR make the argument that "the tech is good it's the people operating it who aren't" when the reality is that the system is designed with on-field priority built in.

This is something the general public just don't seem to have grasped with VAR. Perhaps PGMOL should have communicated it more clearly?

It's always possible for two seemingly similar incidents to have opposite outcomes. On-field call carries weight. If a ref does not give the Amad pen that is supportable. Giving the Evanilson spot-kick is supportable too. That's the subjective laws and VAR for you.
