Magical season for Gate 14. Wouldn’t change a god damn thing on how we covered our favorite baseball team. Going to take some time off, maybe check into a psych ward. See you soon 🫡🤞🏻

We're thrilled to announce that @SpellbookLegal has raised a $20m Series A financing, led by @inovia. In 2014 my musical instrument company got a legal bill that nearly zeroed our bank account. In 2019 we launched Rally to help lawyers draft more efficiently using document automation. In 2022 we launched Spellbook as the first generative AI copilot for lawyers. In 2023 we assisted 1700+ legal teams with nearly 1 million contracts! We're excited to deploy this capital towards building the most trusted AI assistant for transactional lawyers. We have some huge new breakthroughs coming this year—which we'll start to show at @LegalweekShow next week! Thank you to our incredible team, customers and investors for joining our mission to help lawyers escape transaction drudgery—ultimately delivering more value to the end clients of legal services, and helping lawyers focus on doing more of the strategic work they love. Special thanks to our legal counsel at LaBarge Weinstein (@LWConnect) and the opposing counsel team at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP (@Osler_Law) and Inovia Capital who helped us close this deal in record time.

@ZachAbramowitz I just started telling people that I don't check my email or phone between sundown Friday and Sundown on Saturday. It's a self care ritual. Except it's also shabbat

Question for my all Gentile friends: Which of these should I use at this point? I’m sorry but I’m Sabbath observant. *or* Shomer Shabbos!

A thriving Central bank-backed digital currency needs a thriving digital identity ecosystem to be developed in tandem to facilitate trust in transactions. Great step forward by the BoC Have your say on Canada's CBDC here bit.ly/3p4bsjk

@gauravkapoor08 This is why proper KYC and Digital Credentials controls are crucial to the future of #openbanking. Making sure the actors are traceable builds trust

Another one - this time Block! Is this perception or fact driven? Neo banks will always attract bad actors - it’s a reality. This research seems overstated. But it is important for upfront controls and better ongoing portfolio controls by risk officers.
Simon Taylor@sytaylor

Oof Block shares plunge as a short seller estimates 40% to 75% were fraud or fake This is an allegation not fact. But world class onboarding is mission critical. This won't be the last story like this. cnbc.com/2023/03/23/blo…

@IdentityWoman Very much agree. A challenge though in that law is very broad-reaching and evolves analog. Innovations that protect people better evolve at a faster pace than the law seems to be able to catch up to. We ran into this issue in our first use case (wills). It's a fascinating problem

@IdentityWoman One of the core issues is that most states (and provinces') regulations haven't updated language to support the benefits that credentials/biometrics or blockchain can bring. Easy examples can be found in wills, notary, and real estate. Education/action is needed. Good luck!

@AndrewStoeten Apples and oranges though. The Bears play once a week, on Sunday. Add tailgating and the whole event might be worth a pilgrimage. The Jays play 81 games in 210ish days, the stadium is used for other things, etc... Downtown is a necessity

@engineers_feed Before purchasing a bookshelf, I needed to see if it would fit into a room. I worked out the maximum height if we tilted it into place using the Pythagorean theorem! I was too proud of myself, and the store attendant called it a cool trick

@SahilBloom Wolves and the hawks, Assuming they are trained. Wolves are ferocious and fast, if you pair them up 10 should be able to handle the gorillas and then move on to the lions and bears. Hawks swarm the hunter before the rat buffet begins

Important Thought Experiment You’re in an arena with: - 50 hawks - 10 crocodiles - 3 brown bears - 15 wolves - 1 hunter w/ rifle - 7 buffalo - 10,000 rats - 5 gorillas - 4 lions Pick 2 to defend you. The others attack you. Goal is to survive 1 hour. What do you pick and why?
